Job Responsibilities:
∎ The Fabric Sourcing Manager is responsible for managing a team that handles fabric sourcing of the group. S/he is responsible for managing the development, sourcing, capacity, analysis, and pricing seasonally. S/he develops and maintains fabric supplier and mill relationships. This person provides technical expertise at the fabric development at all stages of the product pipeline and should have the working knowledge of fabric testing. S/he will also be responsible for managing calendar deadlines, and development tracking, as well as the handling of daily communication with overseas agents and cross-functional design, merchandising and production teams.
∎ Develop and support the group's fabric sourcing strategies that support company production placement.
∎ Manage mill, agent relationships, and negotiate cost seasonally.
∎ Manage development calendar, manage necessary tools, and ensure direct reports completion as per deadlines.
∎ Ability to deliver on company initiatives and strategies with minimal oversight.
∎ Daily communication with overseas mills and agents, and design partners.
∎ Lead, grow and develop a team.
∎ Translate brand aesthetic to mills/ suppliers/ agents and vendors.
∎ Problem-solving technical and aesthetic issues daily from production, design, merchandising, agents, and mills.
∎ Manage testing failures and provide technical support to production counterparts
Additional Requirements:
∎ Both males and females are allowed to apply
∎ Relevant degree in Product Development, Textiles or equivalent preferred: minimum 5-7 years in the technical fabric field.
∎ Overseas fabric sourcing and negotiating experience required.
∎ Expert regarding fabric construction/ production, printing, dyeing techniques, testing, wash.
∎ Strong written and verbal communication skills
∎ Ability to influence, communicate and present to all levels of the organization: credible aesthetically and technically to all cross-functional partners as well as to cross-functional leaders.
∎ Excellent project management, planning, and organizational skills
∎ Strong PC skills
