∎ Skills Required: Business Development or Operation Management, Dredging, Project Management

Job Context:
∎ The company is one of the largest group of companies in Bangladesh . The company operates in the field of property development & construction sector, having build commercial, residential projects & developing projects for the Bangladesh government. The group also operates one of the largest fleet of vessels within the country & consist of companies that may provide end to end logistical support. The company also manufactures & trades building materials such as stone, cement, steel, & plastic products. The founder and Managing Director of the company is a 3rd Parliamentary Member of the Republic of Bangladesh government.
∎ As a manager of operation & project manager, you will provide leadership to your team and outstanding the need of the company, while managing an industrial portfolio. You are responsible for all aspects of project chain & project accomplishment planning.
∎ We are seeking an experienced and innovative Operation Manager with exceptional business management skills, significant leadership experience from engineering educational background to lead dredging unit.
∎ He/She will responsible for creating strategic and collaborative solutions, you are an individual who sees the big picture, acts decisively and focuses on creating an energized and collaborative environment. As a manager of Dredging Operation you will contribute to the establishment and refinement of work quality, cultural initiatives and best practices to drive results as a team. You will also contribute to developing successful, diverse teams through inclusive and thoughtful means of communication.
∎ He/She will need a strong operational background in a business setup and be well versed in managing the group of company at an executive level. He/She will manage day-to-day dredging operations of the group of company, handle all aspects of Board relationships, legal matters, and general issues, thus having a direct effect on the financial and operational bottom line of the company. His/her industry, corporate and market knowledge will come from a successful career in the marine, sea going vessel & ship Construction Sector.
∎ In this executive management position you will have a direct report team across various divisions employing more than 20 staff in Operations, Business development, Supply Chain, Logistics, commercial , Distribution. The incumbent will have the freedom & resources to plan, organized and drive the growth of the company.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Work with the Project Management Team to ensure the successful completion and profitability of on-going project.
∎ Work closely with the Management to develop a comprehensive operations program and long range strategy to ensure efficient dredging operations.
∎ Attend weekly Meetings to discuss job progress, equipment status, and any problems that are currently being encountered.
∎ Coordinate and manages development of all new construction with dredges, work boat & house boat and miscellaneous.
∎ Ensures that all equipment is receiving regularly scheduled maintenance under his divisions of management and is part of a preventive maintenance program to ensure longer equipment work life.
∎ Provide interface with project team members, suppliers, customers, and others who are involved in project work.
∎ Ensure that project team members are provided a safe work environment and are knowledgeable of safe work practices and policies.
∎ Perform other related duties as may be assigned or requested by immediate supervision.
∎ Participate in Safety and Environmental initiatives that will contribute to compliance of government regulations and improve existing Company programs.
∎ Compile with all applicable laws, regulations and Company policies and procedures, and is subject to appropriate disciplinary action (including dismissal) for failure to do so.
∎ Report all violations of applicable laws, regulations or Company policies and procedures promptly, and is subject to appropriate disciplinary action (including dismissal) for failure to do so.
∎ Perform other related administrative and technical duties as may be assigned or requested by immediate supervision
∎ Responsible for the technical execution of the Project. Leads the activities on Site in consultation with the Management. Responsible to direct and coordinate the activities required to implement related scope of works.
∎ Execution of field construction activities in conformance with project drawings, specifications, schedules, cost estimates, procedures, quality requirements and safety standards
∎ Ensure on time request for necessary project personnel, material and equipment. Evaluates the performance of the dredgers. Adjust the dredging methodology where necessary to increase the overall performance. Updates the Project Manager

Additional Requirements:
∎ Age 35 to 50 years
∎ Only males are allowed to apply
∎ Minimum of 10 years' experience in progressive maintenance and supervisory roles.
∎ Working knowledge of dredging operations
∎ Knowledge of applicable health and safety regulations.
∎ Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office products.
∎ Advanced problem solving skills.
∎ Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
∎ Ability to organize and lead meetings.
∎ Ability to obtain cooperation and influence others to work toward a common goal.

Salary:
∎ Negotiable
∎ Depending on length of experience, field of expertise, industry exposure, market value of skill sets acquired, company may offer higher compensation package than indicated above to acquire candidate`s services for full-time employment.
