The Manager – Cost & Budget is responsible for planning, controlling, and analyzing organizational costs and budgets to ensure financial efficiency, cost optimization, and accurate financial decision-making.
Develop and maintain cost accounting systems and standard costing
Analyze material, labor, overhead, and production costs
Monitor and report cost variances with root cause analysis
Identify and implement cost reduction initiatives
Ensure accurate cost allocation across departments and cost centers
Prepare annual budgets, revised budgets, and periodic forecasts
Coordinate with department heads for budget planning and data collection
Monitor budget utilization and control deviations
Prepare monthly budget vs. actual variance reports
Support capital expenditure budgeting and analysis
Prepare cost and budget-related management reports
Analyze product-wise, project-wise, and departmental profitability
Support pricing decisions through cost and margin analysis
Provide financial insights to management for strategic decisions
Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and regulations
Maintain strong internal controls over costing and budgeting processes
Support internal and external audits with necessary documentation
