∎ Age 30 to 45 years
∎ Minimum 08-10 years’ work experience in an import based Commercial Department of any reputed group of manufacturing company along with minimum 4 years’ experience in similar position.
∎ Must have computer literacy with good communication skill and Spoken English.
∎ Sound knowledge on all kind of permits renewal works.
∎ Sound knowledge on releasing capital Machineries, plant machineries, Chemical & other imports.
∎ Sound knowledge of all customs, Jetty & other works of C&F operation.
∎ Clear knowledge and experience of LC procedure and documentation.
Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Ensure all commercial activities (e.g. issuance of PI, L/C amendment, correction of L/C terms and conditions according to Bangladesh Bank rules & regulations, shipment conditions, negotiation to buyers and sellers, payment realization, bond etc.) through overseas phone and e-mail.
∎ Maintain proper liaison with concerned agencies, trade bodies, banks, shipping line, C&F agents, transport agents, insurance companies, VAT department, production department etc.
∎ Follow up for raw and packing materials and ensure proper selection of HS code for easy clearance form customs and save additional cost.
∎ Communication with confirming bank for adds confirmation of export LC at a competitive price.
∎ Check all export documents required at different levels (e.g. Commercial invoice, Packing List, Delivery Challan/Truck Receipt, Technical Literature, Country of Origin, others certificate).
∎ Check import payment against different L/C’s and prepare retirement/FDD issuance letter for payment of that respective L/C’s from export proceeds on maturity date.
∎ Negotiate with bank for preferential exchange rate for payment of deferred L/C on maturity date.
∎ Responsible for monitoring overall activities of the commercial department co-ordinates the activities of the commercial department with other & inter-department, outside parties, government offices, local liaison offices of the buyer, audit firms, bank. Prepare & submit Utilization Declaration from respective authorities which are required to Export goods. Submit & collect GSP certificate from component authorities.
∎ Organize Import documents to release import consignment in time.
