Responsibilities & Context: The Manager/AGM - Export will be responsible for overseeing and managing all export operations, ensuring compliance with international regulations, and developing export strategies to grow the business.
This role involves managing logistics, liaising with customs authorities, and ensuring the smooth flow of goods to international clients. The individual will play a key role in driving export growth and optimizing operational efficiencies.
Job Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day export operations, including documentation, logistics, and freight forwarding.
- Ensure timely and cost-effective shipment of goods to international markets.
- Supervise the preparation and submission of export documents such as invoices, bills of lading, certificates of origin, and export licenses.
- Ensure compliance with international trade laws, regulations, and export controls.
- Stay updated on international trade policies, tariff structures, and customs regulations in different markets.
- Work closely with legal teams to address export-related legal and compliance issues.
- Liaise with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and logistics providers to ensure smooth shipping processes.
- Negotiate contracts with shipping companies and logistics service providers to achieve cost savings.
- Coordinate the movement of goods, including warehouse management, inventory control, and dispatch.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with international customers, agents, and distributors.
- Address customer inquiries related to shipment timelines, product availability, and export documentation.
- Develop and implement export strategies to expand market reach and increase revenue.
- Lead, mentor, and motivate the export team, providing guidance on best practices and operational improvements.
- Prepare budgets and forecasts for export operations.
