∎ CMA partly qualified or CA(CC) partly qualified
∎ Certification as a Chartered Accountant/ CA Intermediate/ Associates of Cost and Management Accountants (ACMA)

Job Context:
∎ HF Asset Management Limited (HFAML) an Asset Management Company (AMC) operating in the Mutual
∎ Fund Sector in Bangladesh is inviting applications from suitable candidates for the position of Manager (Accounts & Finance).
∎ Duty station - Head Office of the Company
Job Responsibilities:
∎ The Manager (Accounts & Finance) will be responsible for managing the entire accounts and finance related activities of the company and the mutual funds it manages along with timely reporting and submission of financial statements to management and the regulators to comply regulator's requirements.
∎ The Manager (Accounts & Finance) will report to Chief Operating Officer of HFAML. His/her job responsibilities will include - Preparing and analyzing monthly and quarterly financial statements of the company to help management in decision making with clear indication of movement of funds & deviations in operating results;
∎ Preparing annual accounts of the Company fulfilling all necessary requirements of the external audit;
∎ Preparing and maintaining all accounts of the Funds managed by the company;
∎ Estimating Funds' NAV and publication of NAV of the Funds in weekly basis;
∎ Preparing financial reports and statements of the Funds managed by the company as and when necessary;
∎ Ensuring submission of all necessary documents and information to Bangladesh Securities and Exchange Commission (BSEC) and other authorities including Funds' Trustee and Custodian in timely basis and in prescribed manner as required by BSEC (Mutual Fund) Rules, 2001;
∎ Executing and monitoring all bank related transactions of the company;
∎ Verifying all financial transactions including procurement, receipts of revenue and payment of expenditure;
∎ Performing Bank and Dividend Reconciliation;
∎ Investigating reported occurrences of fraud, embezzlement, theft, waste, etc.;
∎ Reporting on budgetary control system and variance analysis;
∎ Ensuring payment of expenses related to the Funds in timely manner;
∎ Updating FDR information (both creation and liquidation) and necessary reconciliation of interest calculation;
∎ Preparing tax returns and settle tax files for the company with the help of Tax advisor;
∎ Preparing IPO Valuation, bidding summary and participate in bidding process with the approval of the authority;
∎ Ensuring compliance of the directives, notifications, orders etc. as required by the Regulatory Bodies from time to time;
∎ Representing the company as Compliance Officer in different compliance related activities;
∎ Performing any other duty/responsibilities as needed and assigned by higher authorities.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Minimum 03 years' Experience in Accounting/Finance/relevant field
∎ Experience in Asset Management Company will get preference.
∎ Knowledge of securities market and mutual fund sector;
∎ Knowledge of BSEC Mutual Fund Rules, 2001 and other relevant Rules.
∎ Knowledge of Tax/VAT calculation
∎ Ability to make timely decisions under pressure;
∎ Ability to make sound decisions even when there is incomplete information;
∎ Ability to work well within a team;
∎ The ability to prioritize workload;
∎ Attention to details;
∎ Demonstrates logic and analytical ability in solving problems
