Education:
Minimum 10-12 years of experience in Finance & Accounts functions.
Minimum 8–10 years of progressive experience in finance and accounts, with at least 3–5 years in a managerial role within the power sector, infrastructure financing, renewable energy, or a multinational/joint-venture corporate structure.
Experience in project financing and corporate financial management will be an added advantage.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial management, taxation, VAT, and corporate finance.
Sound understanding of BFRS/IAS, Companies Act, and Bangladesh taxation laws.
Excellent analytical, reporting, and budgeting skills.
Strong leadership and team management capability
Good communication and negotiation skills.
Advanced proficiency in MS Excel, ERP/accounting software, and financial reporting tools.
Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
Responsible for leading the overall finance, accounting, and treasury functions of the Solar IPP joint venture business. The role focuses on ensuring financial sustainability, driving project financing closure, managing financial risk, establishing robust internal controls, and ensuring meticulous compliance with international financial reporting standards (IFRS) and Bangladeshi statutory requirements.
Key Responsibility Areas
Financial Reporting & Governance: Oversee the preparation of timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS/IAS and joint-venture requirements; manage the consolidated reporting for multinational stakeholders.
Project Financing & Treasury: Assist in securing project financing from commercial banks and Development Finance Institutions (DFIs); manage debt-servicing, loan covenants, cash flow forecasting, and fund allocation for utility-scale solar projects.
Taxation & Regulatory Compliance: Ensure full compliance with the National Board of Revenue (NBR) guidelines, including Corporate Income Tax (CIT), Value Added Tax (VAT), and withholding taxes; manage tax exemptions applicable to the renewable energy sector.
Budgeting & Variance Analysis: Lead the annual budgeting process, financial modeling, and forecasting; perform regular variance analyses against project EBITDA and profitability targets to provide actionable insights to executive leadership.
Audit Management: Serve as the primary focal point for statutory external audits, internal audits, and JV partner reviews; ensure swift resolution of audit queries and implementation of recommended controls.
EPC & Commercial Vendor Management: Oversee financial disbursements, LC openings, and payment verifications for international EPC contractors, equipment suppliers, and land acquisition partners.
Internal Controls & ERP Systems: Establish, maintain, and automate robust financial internal control systems; drive the optimization and usage of automated financial modules/ERP systems.
International Communication: Manage all financial reporting, board presentations, lender correspondence, and joint-venture financial alignments with flawless professional English proficiency.
