Experience:
Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business;
Part-qualified or Qualified CMA, CA, or ACCA strongly preferred.
5–8 years of progressive experience in cost accounting, budgeting, and financial analysis, with at least 3 years in an FMCG or fast-paced manufacturing environment in Bangladesh.
Demonstrated hands-on experience in product costing (standard and actual), BOM-based costing, and variance analysis.
Proven experience conducting segment margin / channel and customer profitability analysis, not limited to overall product costing.
Working knowledge of an ERP/accounting for costing and inventory modules.
Strong command of Excel-based financial modeling; experience building or maintaining costing templates and dashboards.
Familiarity with the Bangladeshi FMCG competitive and regulatory environment (VAT/SD implications on costing, trade practices) is an advantage.
Key Deliverables
• Accurate and timely product costing (pre- and post-costing), including standard costing setup, BOM maintenance, and material/labor/overhead variance analysis, to support pricing and profitability decisions.
• Monthly inventory valuation and variance analysis to maintain financial accuracy and control.
• Annual and periodic budgets across all functions, prepared and monitored in alignment with organizational goals.
• Identification, analysis, and reporting of non-value-added costs in factory operations, with actionable cost-reduction recommendations.
• Product-, channel-, and customer-level profitability analysis (segment margin), break-even insights, and financial reports to support strategic decision-making by management and the Board.
Job Responsibilities
• Conduct regular pre-costing and post-costing analysis for all products, including BOM-based standard costing and variance analysis against actuals.
• Perform monthly inventory valuation and reconcile with financial records.
• Lead the preparation of annual budgets and periodic forecasts for all departments.
• Monitor budget utilization and highlight variances with corrective recommendations.
• Review factory operations to identify inefficiencies and eliminate non-value-added costs.
• Conduct feasibility studies and financial analysis for new products and business initiatives.
• Analyze product-, brand-, channel-, and customer-wise profitability (segment margin) and provide insights for margin improvement.
• Identify and monitor break-even points for products and operations.
• Evaluate the cost impact of trade spend, promotions, and schemes on net margin, in coordination with sales and marketing.
• Verify factory-related payroll components (salary, overtime, bonus, etc.) and support disbursement processes.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams (production, supply chain, sales) to ensure cost efficiency and financial discipline.
• Strengthen internal controls and ensure compliance with company policies and financial regulations.
• Continuously improve costing systems, tools, and reporting processes for better decision support.
• Prepare and present financial and analytical reports for the Board of Directors (BOD) as required.
• Perform any other duties or responsibilities as assigned by Management from time to time.
