Lead the annual budgeting process, coordinate with heads of other departments to consolidate operational budgets, and track variances against actual performance.
Prepare dynamic cash-flow models, short-term/long-term financial forecasts, and capital expenditure (CAPEX) projections.
Provide strategic financial guidance and data-driven insights to senior management to optimize operational costs and drive profitability.
Direct and oversee the entire financial accounting operations, ensuring all general ledger transactions, journal entries, and account reconciliations are accurately maintained.
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual Financial Statements (Balance Sheet, Profit & Loss Account, Cash Flow Statement, and Statement of Changes in Equity) in strict compliance with IFRS/BAS.
Oversee fixed assets tracking, inventory accounting, accounts payable/receivable cycles, and credit risk control.
Take full responsibility for company-wide Tax and VAT planning, management, and compliance in accordance with the NBR guidelines and prevailing Bangladesh laws.
Prepare and submit monthly VAT returns, TDS/VDS deductions, tax withholdings, and annual corporate income tax returns.
Act as the primary liaison with Tax, VAT, Customs, and Regulatory authorities for audits, assessments, hearing proceedings, and dispute resolutions.
Oversee daily treasury operations, fund allocation, and bank account reconciliations to maintain ideal liquidity levels.
Manage commercial banking relationships, secure credit facilities (working capital, term loans), negotiate competitive interest rates, and handle loan servicing.
Manage foreign trade operations, including Letter of Credit (LC) opening, bill settlement, foreign exchange compliance, and import/export documentation.
Design, implement, and periodically review internal control policies, SOPs, and financial protocols to prevent fraud, mismanagement, or leakage.
Coordinate and facilitate smooth operations during internal, statutory, and tax audits, promptly addressing all audit findings and compliance recommendations.
Identify potential financial risks (market, credit, operational) and establish mitigation strategies.
