Job Context:
∎ Background: The USAID-supported Higher Secondary Education Activity (HSEA), running from August 2023 to August 2028, is implemented by Chemonics International Inc., Michigan State University, and BacBon Limited. Aligned with the Government of Bangladesh`s Vision 2041, the project seeks to elevate the quality of higher secondary education in line with the National Blended Education Master Plan. Goals include enhancing teachers` skills, strengthening leadership capacity, and adopting digitally coordinated training facilities. This partnership supports improved teaching methods through mentorship, engaging curriculum design, and innovative learning approaches. A Comprehensive Learning Management System fosters blended learning and professional communities, aiming to transform the higher secondary education landscape in Bangladesh.
∎ Period of Performance: This role offers a one-year contract with the potential for extension, providing a long-term opportunity.
∎ Supervision and Reporting: Reports to the Regional Technical Coordinator.
∎ Location of Assignment: The Logistics and Monitoring Officer will be based in one of the following locations in Bangladesh: Barishal, Cumilla, Dhaka, Khulna, Mymensingh, or Rajshahi. Periodic travel across the country will be necessary, depending on project requirements.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ This role is primarily responsible for supporting Higher Secondary Education activities smooth delivery in the field. Responsibilities will encompass assisting with logistics and coordinating local travel arrangements for training attendees under the guidance of the HSEA operations team during the training sessions at project sites. This position contributes to the collection of project data, both online and offline, under the guidance of the MEL team. S/he also assists in data cleaning as necessary and assists in the facilitation of collaborative learning initiatives. This dynamic role demands a proactive approach, adaptability, and proficiency in assisting the program operations in the project sites including quality data collection and timely submission.

∎ Under the direct supervision of the Regional Technical Coordinator, the Logistics and Monitoring Officer will be responsible for the following tasks, including but not limited to:

∎ Executing the logistics, planning and coordination for HSEA training programs at selected educational institutions within assigned areas, following the guidance from HSEA Operations team and collaborating with selected principals/vice-principals and teachers.
∎ Assisting in organizing HSEA events, workshops, meetings, and field visits in coordination with HSEA Operation team.
∎ Supporting HSEA MEL functions under the guidance of the MEL team, involving both online: Comprehensive Learning Management System (CLMS) and offline: in-person training data and assisting in data cleaning as needed for the assigned location.
∎ Assisting in generating adaptive collaborative learning ideas from the project participants.
∎ Assisting in organizing sessions with key stakeholders for Collaborating, Learning, and Adapting (CLA) events.
∎ Tracking progress of Professional Learning Communities (PLCs) engagement.
∎ Supporting the MEL team in customizing tools based on field experience to assess training effectiveness after three to four months, including pre-testing and post-testing.
∎ Reviewing attendance records for all training courses and ensuring accurate documentation.
∎ Contributing to reporting implementation outputs to inform learning, adaptation, and communication efforts as per the Annual and MEL Plan.
∎ Participating in the annual data quality control assessment, addressing errors or limitations, and ensuring the validity, reliability, precision, timeliness, and integrity of the data.
∎ Collaborating with Operations teams to ensure seamless implementation of all activities.
∎ Contributing to and supporting MEL data collection, research, and reporting activities and requirements as needed.

Additional Requirements:
∎ At least three years of professional experience in USAID or 4 years in similar donor-funded projects or activities.
∎ Previous experience in logistics, coordination, and monitoring and evaluation, research activities for training programs preferably at the field level.
∎ Strong organizational and communication skills, proficient in essential computer software such as MS Excel, MS Access, and MS PowerPoint.
∎ A knowledge of USAID administrative rules and regulations is preferable.
∎ Strong coordination, organizational skills, honesty, commitment to excellence and attention to details.
∎ Fluent in Bengali and English - spoken and written.
∎ Familiarity with the higher secondary education system in Bangladesh is a plus.
∎ Ability to adapt to a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
