Job Responsibilities

As a Leather Engineer, you will be responsible for overseeing and improving leather production processes, ensuring quality standards, and supporting product development.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage leather processing from raw hide to finished leather

• Monitor tanning, dyeing, finishing, and quality control processes

• Develop and improve leather quality, texture, durability, and consistency

• Identify and solve production defects and quality issues

• Work closely with production, sourcing, and product development teams

• Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety, and environmental regulations

• Optimize production efficiency and reduce material waste

• Support R&D for new leather types, finishes, and treatments

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Leather Engineering / Leather Technology or related field

• Minimum 1 years of experience in leather manufacturing or tannery operations

• Strong knowledge of tanning methods (vegetable, chrome, semi-chrome, etc.)

• Hands-on experience with leather finishing, dyeing, and quality testing

• Understanding of international leather quality standards

• Problem-solving mindset with attention to detail

• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
