Additional Requirements:
  • Minimum 07 years of experience in the relevant field including 3 years in leadership role.

  • Proven track rocord on Project Management.

  • In-depth understanding of set-up and administration of ICT services, HMIS (Health Management Information System).

  • Experience on RapidPro, OpenSRP, DHIS2, ODK and or other global public good technologies.

  • Significant knowledge of complex database concepts, MedTech and Public Health sector.

  • Knowledge on human-centered design thinking approaches, information systems, requirements analysis and software life cycle are a huge advantage.

  • Experience on Mobile Health or DHIS2 and other information management systems.

  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to foster collaboration among diverse stakeholders and team members.

Job Purpose

  • The Lead will support BHP to harness the power of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) to improve programme effectiveness in development and humanitarian contexts. S/he will provide technical guidance in fetching, piloting and scaling digital tools that empowers decision makers to make data-driven decisions, strengthen value chains, improve access to health, health instruction and other essential services; and facilitate accurate, real-time information for the health programme.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure technology related support to the programme sections, implementing partners, government and other relevant stakeholders in the deployment, revitalize and/or maintain donor and organization supported T4D initiatives.

  • Ensuring programme quality in coordination with the BHP focal of both rural and urban, different project lead of BHP and other relevant internal stakeholders.

  • Evaluate the current use of technology across the BRAC health programmes/projects and identify opportunities for improvement.

  • Collect and analyze data on technology, identify key priorities and areas of focus for technology adoption and programme delivery.

  • Support internal capacity to implement digital development tools and initiatives, identify emerging information and communication technologies for BHP’s response, engage with key tech partners, assess reusable and replicable technical building blocks, and maximize potential for T4D scale-up and roll-out.

  • Oversee technology portion of healthcare projects starting from concept development, proposal writing, and project implementation, monitoring and reporting throughout. Supervise and guide all team members involved in the project with relevant responsibilities.

  • Develop implementation plans with clear timelines, deliverables and resource requirements; Facilitate pilot projects relevant with organizational goal and objectives to test and evaluate new technologies.

  • Provide technical assistance and support to programme teams in integrating technology in their work and promote a culture of innovation and continuous learning within the organization.Oversee development and quality assurance during planning and deployment of Health T4D initiatives; participate in establishing and maintaining standards, documentation and support mechanisms for T4D.

  • Support the integration of innovative practices into traditional practices of the programme, and look for sustainable opportunities to launch projects with significant T4D components that are designed, supported, rolled out and maintained in partnership with other organizations.

  • Create awareness and enhance capacity within the programme (HO and FO) on appropriate use of frontier ICTs for development such as Internet of (Good) Things, wearables, sensors, mobile money, block chain, etc.

  • Conduct regular field visit to guide and support field staff including technical oversight, trouble shooting and technical challenges.

SAFEGUARDING RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensure the safety of Programme Participants, people who come into contact with the organisation and team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation including sexual exploitation and abuse (SEA) to achieve the programme`s goals of safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.

  • Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.

  • Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place and encourage others to do so.
