HEED Bangladesh is Non-Government and non-political National Organization working in the field of Health, Education and Economic Development for more than50 (fifty) years. The Organization invites applications from the suitable candidates for its TB Control Program in Sylhet, Habiganj, Moulvibazar and Sunamgonj Districts of GFATM project as a sub-recipient NGO of BRAC.
Job Responsibilities:
a. Perform mWRDs/ Microscopy testing for presumptive and ongoing TB patients
b. Perform HIV and COVID-19 screening of TB patients
c. Maintain essential safety precautions during sample collection, while working in the lab and during disposal of potentially infectious materials (waste management)
d. Ensure quality assurance of reagents and other health products
e. Conduct outreach center for sample collection
f. Keep record and prepare proper necessary reports (i.e., ASPECT, e-TB Manager, TBCP software etc.) timely
g. Reconcile both physical stock with register and TBCP software
h. Assure regular indent, supply of reagents and other logistics, proper storage and ensure maintenance of GeneXpert/ Truenat/ Microscope with proper documentation (i.e., logbook etc.)
i. Extensive visits to the peripheral labs and guidance for better improvement (for EQA staff)
j. Quality assurance of the random slides and provide feedback report to the respective laboratories in a regular basis (for EQA staff)
k. Assist other HEED staff of DOTS center as need by drug disbursement with record keeping of Daily Consumption Register (DCR) & Drug Stock Register.
l. Organize outreach camp after mobilization in the working area as need.
m. Practice and promote organization’s gender policy and support implementation of gender equality and women empowerment at all levels
n. Ensure the safety of team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation to achieve the organization’s goals on safeguarding implementation.
o. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment
p. Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action
q. Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, encourage others to do so
r. Accept relocation of the work station or transfer anywhere based on the need of the project
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):
a. No. of discordant/ error/ invalid
b. Maintenance of the laboratory equipment
c. Optimum utilization of laboratory equipment/test/ screening
d. Infection control measures
e. Reduce the turnover time
f. Preparation of quality report
Reporting and dissemination:
a. Ensure disease reports weekly, monthly and quarterly timely, accurate and complete reporting as per the agreement
b. Ensure any other report to BRAC and NTP as and when necessary
