Experience:
Diploma in Medical Technology (Laboratory Medicine) and registration with the State Medical Faculty of Bangladesh. Freshers are encouraged to apply.
Experience: 1–2 years of relevant laboratory experience; experience with NGOs or international organizations is an advantage.
Knowledge: Understanding of laboratory procedures, specimen handling, rapid diagnostic tests, infection prevention, and hospital IPC protocols.
Language Requirements: Proficiency in Rohingya & Bangla language; basic knowledge of English for reporting and documentation.
Communication Skills: Clear and concise in presenting information; able to explain procedures and results to patients from Rohingya community and colleagues.
Interpersonal Skills: Works effectively with colleagues at all levels; team player; able to manage conflicts professionally.
IT Literacy: Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Google Drive.
Flexibility: Willing to work in camp settings and adapt to changing work conditions.
Cultural Sensitivity: Respectful and sensitive toward cultural differences in the workplace and community.
Organization and Time Management: Able to prioritize tasks, maintain records, and ensure timely completion of duties.
Availability: Ready to work as per the Health Post schedule and during emergencies when needed

ORGANIZATIONAL CONTEXT
Community Partners International (CPI) is a U.S. based nonprofit organization that is working with a local partner organization, Young Power in Social Action (YPSA), to expand access to quality health services and generate the resources, local capacity and coordination necessary for partners and the people to meet their own health and community needs.
PURPOSE OF THE POSITION
The Laboratory Assistant in a health post in a camp setting plays a critical role in supporting patient care through accurate and timely diagnostic services. Responsibilities include collecting and processing specimens, performing routine laboratory tests, maintaining equipment and quality control, and recording and reporting results for clinical decision-making. They follow strict infection prevention and control measures to ensure safety and contribute to public health by supporting outbreak detection and surveillance. By providing reliable laboratory support, the Laboratory Assistant enables the health post to deliver effective, safe, and efficient medical services to camp populations.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Salary range 35,000 BDT/month (Applicable for 13 months bonus)
