∎ Relevant experience working as a Lab Technician in a healthcare setting, preferably in refugee or low-resource environments.

∎ Location: Cox`s Bazar (Ukhiya, Teknaf)
∎ Length of Contract: 1 year with 3 months of Probation Period

Our donor Muslim Hands UK is an international relief and development NGO, established in 1993 working both directly and with partners in over forty countries, carrying out short and long-term projects in emergency relief, educational and vocational training, orphan sponsorship, medical care and safe water.
∎ Summary of Position: Lab technician is the mandatory position for a health post. S/he will play a crucial role in providing vital medical services to the displaced Rohingya community, contributing to the health and well-being of the refugees
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Essential job duties:
∎ Laboratory Testing: Conduct a range of medical tests, including but not limited to blood tests, urine tests, and other diagnostic procedures as required.
∎ Sample Collection: Properly collect, label, and store samples for further analysis.
∎ Quality Assurance: Ensure the accuracy and precision of test results by adhering to established laboratory protocols and quality control standards.
∎ Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and comprehensive records of all test results and patient information, ensuring confidentiality and data security.
∎ Equipment Maintenance: Regularly inspect, clean, and maintain laboratory equipment and instruments to ensure they are in working order.
∎ Safety Measures: Adhere to safety protocols, including handling hazardous materials and chemicals, and maintain a clean and safe working environment.
∎ Collaboration: Work closely with the healthcare team, including doctors, nurses, and other staff, to provide timely and reliable test results for patient diagnosis and treatment.
∎ Continuous Learning: Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in laboratory technology and medical procedures through training and professional development.
