Silicon Orchard Ltd. is a Dhaka-based custom software development company delivering AI, web and mobile, cloud, and quality-engineering solutions to clients across three continents. We are hiring Junior Technical Proposal Writers to strengthen our growing portfolio of local and international proposal submissions.
You will work closely with senior proposal managers, technical teams, and business leadership to produce high-quality, compliant, and persuasive responses for government, corporate, and technology-sector opportunities. This is a full-time role for someone who already has hands-on writing experience and is ready to own proposal sections from first draft to final submission.
• Draft, edit, and proofread technical proposal sections, executive summaries, past performance narratives, capability statements, and compliance responses, owning assigned sections through final review.
• Analyze RFPs, RFQs, tenders, and procurement documents to identify client requirements, evaluation criteria, and submission instructions.
• Translate technical concepts and subject matter expert input into clear, concise, compliant, and persuasive proposal language.
• Format proposal documents in Microsoft Word to professional standards, including styles, automated tables of contents, page numbering, headers/footers, references, and templates.
• Develop and refine pricing schedules, cost breakdowns, and financial narratives in Microsoft Excel.
• Prepare proposal presentations, slide decks, infographics, and visual content in Microsoft PowerPoint.
• Research clients, competitors, and industry trends to strengthen proposal positioning.
• Maintain proposal trackers, compliance matrices, version control logs, and submission checklists.
• Ensure every deliverable meets client formatting requirements, including page limits, typography, font sizes, section organization, and submission instructions.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders to collect supporting documents, resumes, certifications, and technical content on schedule.
• Handle post-submission activities, including proposal archiving, lessons-learned documentation, and debrief analysis.
• Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in proposal writing, technical writing, business writing, or a closely related field (full-time, internship, or freelance).
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in any discipline.
• Excellent written and spoken English, with a strong command of grammar, sentence structure, tone, vocabulary, and document consistency.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, including document formatting and presentation development.
• Ability to analyze complex requirements and convert them into structured, point-by-point responses.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management, with a record of meeting tight deadlines.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced remote environment.
• Reliable internet connection and a professional remote work setup.
• Familiarity with government procurement processes, tenders, RFPs, RFQs, or proposal response structures.
• Experience with compliance matrices, proposal review cycles, and document management.
• Exposure to tools such as Adobe Acrobat Pro, LaTeX, Canva, or other publishing and document production software.
• Background or interest in IT, software development, AI, cybersecurity, cloud computing, or data analytics.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted productivity tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, and Mermaid.
• Availability to occasionally collaborate during U.S. business hours.
