Job Context:
∎ We are looking for someone full to ensure mainly responsibility of data collection on the field, data entry, contribute to data analysis and reporting.
∎ TYPE: Permanent
∎ LOCATION: Based in Chattogram.
∎ REPORTING TO: Monitoring and Evaluation Manager (MEM) or any other person assigned by her.
∎ COORDINATION WITH: Operations Managers (OM) - SJP & W&L, Program Manager (PM) - SJP & W&L.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ The selected personnel will be in charge of the field data collection, the data entry and primary data analysis. S/he will be working in close collaboration with the MEM and the Senior Research and GIS Officer and will be trained during the period. His/her responsibilities shall include but not limited to the following:
∎ Coordination & Representation
∎ Coordinates with support from the Senior Research and GIS Officer with the local administrative authority regarding the different schedule for the surveys, ask authorization and also collect information regarding their activities in order to get inputs, and advice if that may affect the SJP/W&L surveys and activities;
∎ Coordinates with the different associations and leaders on the different areas regarding the different schedule for the surveys and ask for authorization;
∎ Represent the organization to all stakeholders and people s/he will meet on the field;
∎ Data collection
∎ Support the MEM in the preparation of the different surveys and researches (questionnaires, methodology, logistic, implementation in the field);
∎ Collaborate with the MEM on the ToR and the cost estimates of the logistical expenses;
∎ Adapt or translate the questionnaire and all the tools to the different areas before starting the survey on the field;
∎ After estimated the necessary materiel, with the support of the Administration and Finance, s/he is in charge to do the purchase before the beginning of the survey;
∎ Ensure the documents review (Bangla documents) and summarizes information for the MEM
∎ Prepare and update the maps of the areas with the collected information
∎ Under the supervision of the MEM and in collaboration with other staff, support to organize, facilitate and/or ensure the qualitative data collection (Focus group discussions, Workshops, interview ...) and ensure the reporting of these data;
∎ After estimating the needs on the different areas with the MEM and both PM, the AO-R&C will be in charge to conduct prospections, pre surveys and surveys with clearly established internal procedures;
∎ Assist W&L and SJP on other studies, including for example audits of the services, under the supervision of the MEM;
∎ Collect the quantitative and qualitative data on the field using mobile data collection methods;
∎ Contribute to field observation days.
∎ Data entry
∎ Check that the questionnaires are well filled;
∎ Enter and check the data is well encoded in software: Sphinx (or R);
∎ Communication and Learning
∎ Take pictures in the field during data collection following the instructed methodologies (research) and also to include in the report the data collection with substantial pictures
∎ Include the production in the filing system for research samples and materials;
∎ Ensure the implementation of the collaborative strategy on the management of the organization's pictures database;
∎ Participate at meetings and reports about the survey which could affect W&L/SJP activities;
∎ Produce content to be uploaded on various media: pictures, beneficiaries testimonies, etc.
∎ Management of a Team of Surveyors
∎ Support on the recruitment of surveyors according to the needs and action plan;
∎ Supervise the field work of the surveyor: daily presence, monitoring and review of the different questionnaires throughout the survey days on the field;
∎ Check that the questionnaires are well filled;
∎ Ensure the data checking and data cleaning;
∎ Under the supervision of the MEM, train the surveyor to use the collection tools;
∎ Ensure the surveyors have all the equipment needed (ID, jacket, questionnaires, etc.).
∎ Ensure data collection follow the agreed deadline beforehand.
∎ Data Analysis and Reporting
∎ Assist the MEM with the data analysis (descriptive);
∎ Deliver to the team the analysis with the agreed deadline beforehand.
∎ Support the MEM in the Activities of M&E
∎ Provide support for reporting purposes to local and international donors

Additional Requirements:
∎ Proven experience in the use of qualitative collection method: Focus Group Discussions, Interviews, workshops and other research tools
∎ Skills:
∎ Familiarity to both quantitative and qualitative research methods
∎ Computer skills (MS Office) and the use of internet
∎ Being Familiar with digital data collection (KoboToolBox, ODK, ONA,...) is preferred
∎ Ability to use data analysis software (sphinx, R)
∎ Ability to use Geographical software (GIS) would be an asset
∎ Fluent in Bangla and English (speaking and writing)
∎ Ability to coordinate and supervise
∎ Organizational skills
∎ Writing skills
∎ Know-how to take pictures and record audio
∎ Qualities:

Salary:
∎ BDT 18,000 to 25,000 for (depends on candidate`s skills and work experience.
