Additional Requirements:
  • Age At least 24 years
  • Strong knowledge of the Bangladesh Labour Act, 2006 and Bangladesh Labour Rules, 2015, Bangladesh EPZ Labour Act, 2019 and Bangladesh EPZ Labour Rules 2022.
  • Sound understanding of disciplinary procedures, domestic inquiries, misconduct investigations, and termination processes.


Responsibilities & Context:
  • Provide legal advice on the Bangladesh Labour Act, 2006, Bangladesh Labour Rules, 2015, EPZ Labour Act (where applicable), and other relevant employment laws.

  • Advise management on disciplinary matters, including misconduct investigations, domestic inquiries, show cause notices, suspension, dismissal, termination, retrenchment, and settlement procedures.

  • Draft, review, and vet employment contracts, agreements, policies, SOPs, commercial agreements, service contracts, NDAs and other legal documents.

  • Support litigation management by coordinating with external legal counsel and maintaining records of court cases.

  • Liaise with government authorities including the Department of Labour, Labour Courts, Police, Industrial Police, BKMEA/BGMEA, BEPZA and other regulatory agencies.

  • Represent the Company during meetings with government authorities and assist in inspections, investigations, and dispute resolution processes.

  • Assist in handling labour disputes, worker grievances, industrial relations matters, and trade union-related issues.

  • Conduct legal research and prepare legal opinions on employment, corporate, and commercial matters.

  • Support corporate governance and company secretarial activities as required.

  • Monitor legal developments and advise management on legislative and regulatory changes.

  • Conduct legal and compliance awareness sessions for management and employees when required.

  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders to ensure legal compliance across business operations.

  • Perform any other legal and compliance duties assigned by management.
