Educational Requirements:
∎ Bachelor of Arts or equivalent Degree.

Experience Requirements:
∎ At least 1 year(s)

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Warm welcoming to the caregivers and beneficiaries.
∎ Plan, organize and conduct health and nutrition education sessions for caregiver and beneficiaries attending nutrition program on different nutrition subject matters (breastfeeding, complementary feeding, hygiene practice, hand washing, care for pregnant and lactating women, ANC, PNC, safe delivery, prevention of illness, deworming, vaccination etc.)
∎ Ensure attractive and pleasant atmosphere for health and nutrition education sessions
∎ Explain the nutrition treatment and follow up procedures in the nutrition center, especially regular presence and follow up of the treatment.
∎ Explain cause and consequence of malnutrition, importance of treatment and way to prevent
∎ Explain the importance of good personal hygiene, food hygiene and environmental hygiene practice in the center and at home (nail cutting, washing hands before cooking food, taking meal and after latrine etc.)
∎ Use appropriate methods and IEC materials during health and nutrition education sessions
∎ Ensure availability and preservation of topic based IEC materials in the nutrition center
∎ Identify the need for different IEC materials,
∎ Give feedback and input in adopting IEC materials according to local context
∎ Educate volunteer and community support group on different health and nutrition subject/issues
∎ Organize nutrition and health sessions/sensitization meeting for all department staffs
∎ Sensitize and assist nutrition team to organize program activity and to take appropriate pre-cautionary actions to prevent seasonal morbidity.
∎ Keep tally of all participants attending health and nutrition education sessions.
∎ Record findings and feedback of the beneficiaries and their caregivers on health and nutrition educations.
∎ Evaluate the improvement of caregivers knowledge on health and nutrition related topics.
∎ Report any kind of problems to the Team Leader- Nutrition.
∎ Prepare month report.

Additional Requirements:
∎ At least 1 year experience in the field of health and nutrition education, community mobilization, awareness raising activity
∎ Have knowledge on management of acute malnutrition, primary health care services and nutrition care during pregnancy and lactation, IYCF, BCC and use of IEC materials
∎ Organisation skills are necessary.
∎ Good communication skill and sound knowledge about local culture
∎ Ability to work in a team .

Salary: Tk. 40000 (Monthly)
