Job Context:
∎ The acronym OPCA stands for `Organization for the Poor Community Advancement`. OPCA is a local voluntary, non-profitable, non-political Bangladeshi Organization. It is registered under MRA, NGO Bureau, Social Welfare and Youth Development. Since 1992, OPCA is working with on development sector, for lasting solution and entitlement of poor community, WASH, GBV, SRH, Skill Development Program, Health, Agriculture, Disabilities and Mirsarai Autism Center. It is funded by PKSF, Anukul Foundation, Brac/SDC, DRRA/Netherlands, Care Bangladesh, Care/UNICEF
∎ The Internal Audit is responsible for ensuring Organization for the Poor Community Advancement "OPCA" matters related to, internal controls systems, and their impact on the overall grant management. He will provide oversight of all finance, accounting, and administrative reporting activities, and will ensure that Organization for the Poor Community Advancement "OPCA" has the systems and procedures in place to support effective program implementation.
∎ Job Location : Chittagong (Mirsarai)
∎ Workplace ; Work at office (frequently field visit for auditing)
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Ensure that all branch office accounts are properly executed and recorded.
∎ Inform the Executive Director to rectify any inconsistency immediately
∎ To check whether all the accounts of the organization have been settled properly
∎ Manage resource and audit assignment
∎ Implement best audit and financial practices in line with applicable internal audit statements.
∎ Evaluate internal control and make recommendations on how to improve
∎ Identify and reduce all projects/programs and financial risks through effective implementation and monitoring of controls.
∎ Maintain open communication with management and Executive Director
∎ Inform to executive director of any errors and inconsistency found in the audit activities
∎ Compile and implement the annual Internal Audit plan.
∎ Oversee risk-based audits covering operational and financial processes.
∎ Ensure complete, accurate and timely audit information is reported to Management.
∎ Overall supervision of planned annual audits.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at most 44 years
∎ 5 year(s) experience in PKSF funded NGO
∎ The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s): PKSF Funded NGO
∎ The applicants should have experience in the following area(s):
∎ MRA registered & PKSF Funded NGO
∎ 3 years of experience at a mid-level in PKSF funded NGO or non-profit organization.
∎ Two years of Fraud Auditing experience.
∎ Exceptional accounting skills.
∎ Analytical thinker with strong conceptual and problem-solving skills.
∎ Proven knowledge of auditing standards and procedures, laws, rules and regulations.
∎ Proven working experience as Internal Auditor
∎ Advanced computer skills on MS Office, accounting gbanker software
Salary:
∎ 35,000 BDT or As per discussion based on experience.
