Intern – Information Technology

Labaid Cancer Hospital & Super Speciality Centre Ltd.

Labaid Cancer Hospital & Super Speciality Centre Ltd. is looking for an enthusiastic and motivated IT Intern to join our Information Technology team. This internship will provide an excellent opportunity to gain practical experience in IT support, hardware, networking, software applications and day-to-day IT operations within a professional healthcare environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the IT team in providing day-to-day technical support to employees.

• Support troubleshooting of computers, printers, scanners and other IT equipment.

• Assist with installation, configuration and maintenance of computers and software applications.

• Support basic LAN, Wi-Fi and internet connectivity troubleshooting.

• Assist in setting up computers, user accounts, peripherals and other IT equipment.

• Help maintain IT asset records, technical documentation and service logs.

• Assist with software installation, updates and basic system configuration.

• Support IT team members in resolving user-reported technical issues.

• Assist in monitoring IT equipment and identifying potential technical problems.

• Support data backup and other routine IT operational activities.

• Assist with IT projects, system implementation and technology-related initiatives.

• Maintain confidentiality and follow organizational IT and information security policies.

• Perform other IT-related tasks assigned by the supervisor.

Educational Requirements

• Currently studying or recently completed a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Science & Engineering, Information Technology or a related discipline.

• Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.

Experience Requirements

• No prior work experience is required.

• Academic projects or practical exposure in IT will be an advantage.

Skills & Competencies

• Basic knowledge of computer hardware and software.

• Basic understanding of networking and troubleshooting.

• Familiarity with Microsoft Windows and MS Office applications.

• Good problem-solving and analytical skills.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
