Medical Technologist – Multiple Departments

Labaid Cancer Hospital & Super Speciality Centre Ltd. is seeking skilled, dedicated and detail-oriented professionals for the position of Medical Technologist across various departments. The selected candidates will be responsible for performing technical and diagnostic procedures, maintaining quality standards, ensuring patient safety and supporting the delivery of accurate and reliable diagnostic services.

Job Responsibilities

• Perform technical and diagnostic procedures according to departmental protocols and established standards.

• Operate, monitor and maintain relevant medical and diagnostic equipment in accordance with approved procedures.

• Collect, receive, prepare and process patient specimens, where applicable, following proper identification and handling protocols.

• Ensure the accuracy, reliability and timely processing of diagnostic tests and investigations.

• Follow quality control and quality assurance procedures to maintain the accuracy of test results.

• Maintain proper documentation, technical records, registers and departmental reports.

• Ensure compliance with infection prevention, biomedical waste management and occupational safety guidelines.

• Maintain cleanliness, functionality and readiness of equipment, instruments and work areas.

• Identify technical problems, equipment malfunctions or discrepancies and report them to the appropriate authority.

• Coordinate with physicians, consultants, nurses and other healthcare professionals to support effective patient care.

• Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with hospital policies and professional standards.

• Assist in inventory management and ensure the proper storage and availability of departmental supplies and reagents, where applicable.

• Participate in departmental training, quality improvement activities and competency assessments.

• Perform any other duties assigned by the departmental supervisor or management.

Educational Requirements

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or a relevant discipline from a recognized institution.

• Relevant specialized qualifications must match the requirements of the respective department.

• Valid registration with the relevant professional authority, where applicable.

Experience Requirements

• Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply for entry-level opportunities.

• Relevant experience in a hospital, diagnostic centre or specialized healthcare institution will be an advantage.

• Candidates with practical experience in the relevant technical or diagnostic department will receive preference.
