Job Responsibilities:
∎ Communications and knowledge products:
∎ Document lessons learned, challenges identified and possible solutions under scoping, partnership conversations, project delivery or field visits, meeting notes, and maintaining and disseminating knowledge materials to internal team or external stakeholders, as appropriate.
∎ Facilitate webinars, events, publications (blogs, op-eds, reports, fact sheets, stories from the field, etc.) for the practitioners from Global South to learn and explore low-cost innovations to address global challenges around financial inclusion. S/he will be encouraged to leverage the qualitative and quantitative data available within BRAC programmes and through external organisations to run small statistical analyses to build infographics, data-informed articles, etc;
∎ Expand SIL's external communications content through new formats and styles.
∎ Maintain key relationship with external partners through regular communication;
∎ Scan and identify key dates and events for BRAC's engagement in conversations on different relevant events. S/he will be encouraged to plan ahead to schedule communications pieces, engagements and event collaborations to align with key moments.
∎ Reporting:
∎ Maintain thorough documentation of project updates and adjustments, and roll-out of implementation activities that can feed into Key Results proposed for the donor.
∎ Research & Partnership coordination:
∎ Contribute to the partnership management, communications and interactive session designs, and launch of BRAC's flagship event Frugal Innovation Forum.
∎ Support the project teams to coordinate with partnering programmes and external stakeholders to conduct in-depth analysis and research for the creation of internal and external knowledge dissemination.
∎ Develop research proposals/briefs and terms of reference to on board research partners tasked to create a body of evidence and test the impacts.
∎ Research and contribute to innovative topics that can create new knowledge and insights on digital financial inclusion of women in the Global South.
∎ Safeguarding:
∎ Ensure the safety of team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation to achieve the programme's goals on safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment;
∎ Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action;
∎ Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, encourage others to do so.
Additional Requirements:
∎ 2-3 years of experience in local or international corporate or development sector, preferably in knowledge management, partnership development and communications. Qualification in and/or significant experience in innovation related field is highly desired. Understanding of start-up ecosystem and industry knowledge is preferred.
∎ Experience in M&E or research related activities will be given preference.
∎ Writing Bangla and English blogs
∎ Conducting trainings/Knowledge dissemination/COPs on behalf of SIL
∎ Representing SIL to external/internal entities
