Education:

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical and Electronics Engineering with a minimum of 3 years of experience in a power generation facility or process industry; OR

• Diploma in Electrical/Electronics/Power Engineering with at least 6 years of relevant experience in a power generation facility or process industry.

•  Technical Expertise:

• Strong hands-on experience with DCS, PLC, and Instrumentation & Control systems.

• Proven knowledge of Transformers, Generators, Medium Voltage MCCs, and Switchyard protection systems, including coordination between protection schemes.

• Proficiency in calculating and configuring protective relay settings.

• Skilled in the use of tools, test equipment, and calibration appliances.

•  Engineering Aptitude:

• Solid foundation in chemistry, physics, electricity, and mathematics.

• Ability to analyze complex technical problems and implement effective solutions.

•  Operational Competence:

• Capable of responding calmly and making clear decisions in emergency situations.

• Ability to interpret and respond to computer-generated data, instrumentation readings, gauges, and color variations accurately.

•  Communication & Leadership:

• Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills with strong command of English.

• Demonstrated ability to train, mentor, and lead team members in technical and maintenance activities.

•  Computer Literacy:

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

A large multinational Power Generation Company with operations in Bangladesh is looking for an experienced IC & E Maintenance Engineer.

Position Summary: The IC&E Maintenance Engineer is responsible for coordinating and performing all Instrumentation, Electrical, and Control maintenance activities within the facility. In addition, they will provide support in mechanical maintenance and plant operations as needed.

All Maintenance Engineers are expected to:

• Plan and organize their own work effectively.

• Maintain a safe and healthy work environment.

• Consider the environmental impact of all maintenance activities.

• Secure necessary resources and manage costs responsibly.

Key Responsibilities:

• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain all plant control, instrumentation, and electrical systems, including auxiliary equipment, to support uninterrupted plant operations.

• Manage spare parts inventory based on process requirements.

• Maintain accurate documentation, including print files, vendor records, and equipment maintenance logs.

• Assist in requisitioning parts and supplies as needed.

• Ensure a clean, safe, and organized shop and plant environment.

• Train and mentor team members to develop technical and maintenance skills.

• Update drawings and prints promptly reflect any changes.

• Provide leadership and coordinate critical repairs or major projects.

• Actively contribute to environmental and safety programs, including ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015 and ISO 45001:2018 compliance.

• Implement and manage the plant maintenance program, emphasizing planning, scheduling, and preventive/predictive maintenance best practices.

• Continuously review plant equipment and system performance to minimize downtime, resolve issues promptly, and identify improvement opportunities.

• Track, analyze, and optimize key maintenance metrics such as asset utilization, maintenance costs, PM compliance, and schedule adherence.

• Collaborate with the Plant Operations Department to ensure seamless coordination.;
