Experience:
Minimum three (03) years of working experience in power generation facility or any process industry preferably in CCPP. Or Diploma in Mechanical/ Power engineering with minimum six (06) years of working experience in power generation facility or any process industry preferably in CCPP. Additional professional training is preferred.
Knowledge of the kinds and types of equipment installed derived through a combination of hands-on experience and formal training performed in the manufacturer’s factory and/or at the jobsite.
Demonstrate skills in the use of tools, test equipment and calibration appliances.
Strong mechanical aptitude, basic understanding of chemistry, physics, electricity and mathematics. Must be able to respond calmly and think clearly in emergency situations.
A large multinational Power Generation Company with operations in Bangladesh is looking for experienced Mechanical Maintenance Engineers.
Position Summary: The Mechanical Maintenance Engineer will coordinate and/or perform all plant mechanical maintenance performed in the plant. He/ She should assist in mechanical maintenance and plant operations as well. Mechanical Maintenance engineers will be responsible for planning their work, maintaining a safe and healthy work environment, considering the environmental implications of their work, obtaining resources and controlling costs.
Key Responsibilities:
Troubleshoot, repair and maintain all plant mechanical equipment as required to support plant operation.
Maintain and control spare parts inventory.
Assist in maintaining general files, vendor files and the equipment maintenance record.
Assist in requisitioning parts and supplies.
Maintain the plant mobile equipment.
Maintain a clean and safe shop and plant environment.
Train and develop other employees in maintenance skills.
Assist in the update of drawings and prints as changes are made.
Provide leadership and job coordination on critical repairs or projects.
Initiates, implements, and manages the plant maintenance program based on best practices with and emphasis on planning/scheduling and preventive/predictive maintenance.
Reviews the operation of plant equipment and system constantly, to minimize unplanned downtime, anticipate solving problems in a timely manner, and to identify opportunities for improvement.
Tracks, analyzes, and improves key maintenance parameters such as asset utilization, maintenance cost, PM compliance, schedule compliance, etc.
Coordinates activities with Plant Operations Department.
