Job Context:
∎ As per Human Resource Policies & Procedures of NGO Forum for Public Health.
∎ NGO Forum for Public Health is seeking an experienced and motivated person to fill the position of Hygiene Promotor to conduct the hygiene Promotion session, supervised the community engagement and hygiene promotion activities of NGO Forum-UNHCR WASH Project in Cox`s Bazar Refugee Camp. NGO Forum views hygiene promotion and community engagement in WASH as a planned and dynamic process to connect communities to increase the community`s control over the impact of the response. We`re looking for an experienced and driven community mobilizes & motivated person with plenty of enthusiasm to join our talented Hygiene promotion team.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Identify key areas of risk in various hygiene operations for early remedial actions.
∎ Monitor the hygiene condition of the assigned area and to arrange suspension of work where necessary.
∎ Provide in-house training for the food handlers.
∎ To supervise the work of the Hygiene community volunteers.
∎ Conduct daily checks on the personal, environmental and food hygiene.
∎ Act as a area focal point of contact with the hygiene promotion activities in the respective block of the camp.
∎ Lead good hygiene practices and effective community engagement, through improving knowledge and changing the attitudes and behavior of the targeted communities.
∎ Encourage engagement from Hygiene sections of the community through outreach work.
∎ Work with Hygiene field team who have specific roles when devising community.
∎ Develop and support of "Hygiene volunteers" to build a strong relationship with community engagement activities.
∎ Meet regularly with the hygiene team and relevant hygiene field staff to review and progress of the activities and discuss/resolve any issues/challenges.
∎ Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team.
∎ Keeping accurate records of all engagement related activities.
∎ Develop monthly, quarterly and annual work plans and budgets(draft) for Community Engagement.
∎ Contribute to daily report writing in relation to the community engagement activities.
∎ To undertake innovative idea or new community engagement approach as will be assigned from time-to-time by the Project office.

Additional Requirements:
∎ Age 25 to 45 years
∎ Both males and females are allowed to apply
∎ Hands on experience at community engagement approach and child-focused hygiene promotion activities.
∎ Should have knowledge on community mobilization, basic hygiene and health practices.
∎ Able to communicate in local language (Cox's Bazar, Burmees).
∎ Ability to work within a team.
∎ Attitude to work in flexible hours where required.
∎ Sense of confidentiality.
∎ Organizational capacity.
∎ Persuasion skills
∎ Ability to build and sustain relationships with community members so as to create a sense of trust and respect.
∎ Good knowledge of the intervention area.

Salary: Tk. 42089 (Monthly)
