Educational Requirements:
∎ Bachelor Degree in Social Science or related field
Experience Requirements:
∎ At least 2 year(s)
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Manage casual workers and Lead the teams of community mobilizers/ hygiene promotion volunteers and guide them to visit the HH in camps where WVB works and supervise the way of the teams train the people on water conservation, replacing of water tank float valves etc.
∎ Monitor the site activities on daily basis and ensure that all the activities are implemented as per the project requirements.
∎ Monitor and inspect casual community mobilizers
∎ Manage community outreach activities
∎ Ensure the close liaison and consultation with Communities leaders during implementation of the WASH services as per project document requirement.
∎ Undertake capacity building of the various groups involved in projects, including Household Sanitation Committees, Water Committees, Community Hygiene Promoters, in aspects of Water Sanitation and Hygiene in an emergency humanitarian situation.
∎ Carry out periodic community assessment on sanitation and hygiene practices and needs to identify areas for interventions and validation of the WASH plans for the program areas assigned.
∎ Promote Hygiene promotion through awareness creation and establishment and maintenance of functional Community Based Sanitation and Hygiene Promotion structures
∎ Support establishment and implementation of health and hygiene promotion activities in the camps
∎ In conjunction with Engineer, Monitor construction and usage of existing WASH facilities through routine visits and provide guidance through follow up on the activities of community and local government structures responsible for such facilities.
∎ Conduct basic trainings and refresher trainings as well as extend guidance and technical support to the Community based Hygiene and sanitation Promotion structures
∎ Compile weekly, monthly and periodic plans and reports on general WASH project works in the project implementation area for strategic interventions
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at least 28 years
∎ Ability to train and increase the capacity of facilitators
∎ Excellent English communication skills (oral and written)
∎ Thorough knowledge of MS office
∎ Commitment to World Vision Core Values and Mission Statement
∎ Ability to exhibit exemplary lifestyle as interpreted in specific local culture context
∎ Cross-cultural sensitivity, flexible worldview, emotional maturity, and physical stamina
∎ Experience in rural or decentralized water and sanitation infrastructures at least 1 years
∎ Must be willing and able to travel nationally up to 40% of the time
∎ Some project locations may be in remote areas. Staff is expected to live in the location for short periods
Salary: Tk. 60000 (Monthly)
