Job Context
East West Medical College & Hospital is looking for an experienced and visionary Hospital Director to lead its hospital operations. The Director will be responsible for clinical quality, administrative efficiency, patient safety, financial sustainability, and the hospital’s strategic growth, working closely with the management and the medical college.
Job Responsibilities
Lead and oversee the overall management of hospital operations, clinical and non-clinical.
Develop and implement strategic plans, annual budgets, and performance targets in line with the institution’s vision.
Ensure high standards of patient care, safety, infection control, and service quality.
Supervise department heads, consultants, nursing, and administrative staff, and promote a culture of accountability and teamwork.
Ensure compliance with DGHS, Ministry of Health, BMDC, and other applicable regulatory requirements.
Manage hospital finances, revenue growth, cost control, and resource utilization.
Coordinate with the medical college administration on teaching, training, and internship programs.
Oversee procurement, equipment maintenance, pharmacy, laboratory, and diagnostic services.
Handle patient grievances, medico-legal matters, and emergency or crisis situations.
Monitor key performance indicators and present regular reports to the Board/Management.
Drive initiatives for accreditation, digital transformation (HMIS), and service expansion.
Experience Requirements
At least 12 to 15 years of total experience, including a minimum of 5 years in a senior leadership role (e.g., Deputy Director, Head of Hospital Administration, or similar) in a reputed hospital.
Proven experience managing a multi-specialty hospital with 250+ beds is preferred.
Experience in a medical college hospital is an added advantage.
Educational Requirements
MBBS (registered with BMDC) is mandatory.
Postgraduate degree in Hospital Administration, Public Health, Health Management, or a relevant field (MPH, MHA, MBA, MSc, FCPS, MD, or equivalent) is highly preferred.
