• Essential: Bachelor degree in social sciences, social work, behavioral sciences, psychology, public health, community health, nursing or related degrees.

• Candidates must be currently living within Chattogram City and able to provide proof of a valid local address

• Essential: At least 1 years’ experience in: Health promotion, Teaching, Nursing, Community mobilization, Social work or related field

• Local language essential, Chittagonian language preferred.

• English desirable



Responsibilities & Context:

• Inform patients and communities about MSF and services it provides.

• According to medical priorities, deliver information to the patients and community on specific health topics

• Implement awareness and education activities, promoting feasible health practices (sessions in schools, churches, community, door to door visits, etc.), under the indications and supervision of the Health Promotion and Community Engagement (HPCE) Supervisor.

• Under the guide of HPCE Supervisor, assess the impact of activities (with questions, verifications and behaviors observations), and report to her/him problems, success/strengths and constraints to him/her.

• Collect all type of information related to specific health and living conditions of the population, in particular to identify the most vulnerable populations to target.

• Support the organization and delivery of activities that increase community knowledge and participation in dengue prevention, early care-seeking, and vector control.

• Participate in the presentation of Médicines Sans Frontières (MSF) and the project to community groups (and community leaders), serving as a liaison between the project and the community.

• Support the implementation of community assessment activities such as workshops, surveys, and discussions to understand community knowledge, practices, and needs related to dengue prevention.

• Regularly collect and document community feedback on dengue awareness activities, vector control, and health-seeking behavior.

• Gather community suggestions and proposals to improve HPCE messages, activities, and approaches.

• Identify and report community challenges related to organization, leadership, coordination, and resource mobilization that may affect dengue prevention efforts.

• Facilitate community sessions, meetings, and campaigns to promote safe practices, environmental cleanliness, and active participation in mosquito breeding source reduction.

• Support the formation and strengthening of Community Response Groups to Dengue (CRDGs) and other local initiatives.

• Engage community leaders, volunteers, and networks to sustain community-driven dengue prevention actions.

• Use MSF-approved IEC materials (posters, leaflets, videos, etc.) to deliver clear and consistent messages to the community.

• Ensure IEC materials are displayed, distributed, and explained correctly during community sessions.

• Provide feedback to the HPCE Supervisor on the relevance and clarity of IEC materials used in the field.

• Coordinate daily with the HPCE Supervisor to plan activities and share progress updates.

• Report any major community issues or urgent health-related observations (e.g., increase in fever cases, water stagnation, or waste problems).

• Maintain accurate daily records of activities, attendance, and community feedback.

• Support other project components, such as vector control or surveillance, by facilitating communication and acceptance in communities.

• Perform any other task assigned by the line manager that is relevant to the position and project objectives.



Job Other Benifits:

    Permanent Contract. Salary according to level Five (5) of the internal MSF salary grid (BDT 68500). Salary is not negotiable. Income tax deduction from salary based on current income tax rule. 2 annual leave days per month worked. Medical insurance for employee and direct dependents based on Health Care Policy- Locally Recruited Staff.

    There is no provisions for relocation. 2 Festival Bonuses after completion of one year of uninterrupted continuous service.
