Post-Graduation/ Masters preferably in business background from any reputed university with no Third Class/Division.

A minimum of 16 years of experience in reputable banking institutions, including at least 4 years in a proven leadership role within Retail Banking.

Exceptional strategic, analytical, and business acumen, with a demonstrated ability to drive organizational growth.

Profound understanding of retail banking products, customer behavior, and industry dynamics.

Strong leadership, team-building, and stakeholder management capabilities.

Excellent business communication skills with effective sales acumen and strong interpersonal relationship



Responsibilities & Context:

Job Context

The Head of Retail Banking will be responsible for defining and executing the strategic direction of the retail banking business. The incumbent will ensure the highest standards of operational excellence, customer engagement, and profitability, while fostering a culture of innovation, compliance, and performance.

 

Key/Job Responsibilities

Develop and implement strategic business plans to achieve liability and asset business targets, while expanding retail banking through customer-centric products, digital channels, and diversified service networks.

Oversee the performance of all retail branches and business units, ensuring operational efficiency and the successful achievement of business objectives.

Drive the Bank’s digital transformation agenda by advancing cutting-edge banking innovations, with particular emphasis on digital payments and contemporary service delivery channels.

Provide leadership, guidance, and collaboration to branches and sales teams to ensure the achievement and surpassing of annual retail banking business objectives.

Promote a culture of excellent customer service and sales performance across all retail banking units.

Encourage teamwork, regulatory compliance, and continuous professional development through coaching, feedback, and structured training programs.

Provide senior management with insightful reports on performance metrics, market trends, and customer feedback to support strategic decision-making.

Identify opportunities for product innovation, market differentiation, and service enhancement to maintain a competitive edge.

Ensure strict adherence to all regulatory requirements, risk management standards, and internal policies.
