Job Context:
∎ JOB PURPOSE:
∎ The main purpose of the Head of Resource Mobilisation and New Business Development is to raise funds for BRAC programmes from both existing and potential bilateral donors, foundations, multilaterals and regional organisations. The Head of Resource Mobilisation and New Business Development will be responsible for coordinating and supervising donor engagements and proposal development trajectories amongst all BRAC entities, including the BRAC UK and BRAC USA affiliate offices. The head is expected to contribute to the implementation of the OneBRAC Resource Mobilisation and Partnerships Strategy, with a particular focus on intensification of funding streams from bilateral donors, foundations, multilaterals and regional organisations. The head will also be responsible for the management of Senior Programme Managers and Managers that will provide support as relevant to the GRP team.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
∎ Reporting to the Director of GRP BRAC Bangladesh, the Head of Resource Mobilisation and New Business Development is responsible for:
∎ Resource Mobilisation:
∎ Developing and implementing an action plan for resource mobilisation with bilateral donors, foundations, multilaterals and regional organisations, in line with the OneBRAC Global Resource Mobilisation and Partnerships Strategy.
∎ Developing donor engagement strategies for potential and existing bilateral donors in collaboration with BRAC´s country and regional fundraising teams and BRAC affiliates.
∎ Coordinating pitch and proposal development in collaboration with BRAC affiliates, country and regional teams, the GRP team, and relevant staff from Communications and other relevant teams.
∎ Tracking latest funding trends, and contribute to the further development and implementation towards the relevant donor segments.
∎ Coordinating and facilitating general information sharing on areas of responsibility within the GRP team, as well as towards BRAC's country and regional fundraising teams and BRAC affiliates.
∎ Others:
∎ Providing regular updates to the Director, GRP BRAC Bangladesh on progress and results within areas of responsibility.
∎ Developing internal stakeholder relationships, in particular within the GRP team and with BRAC's country and regional fundraising teams and BRAC affiliates to align funding needs and opportunities, as well as BRAC Board members who may hold key relationships with existing or potential donors.
∎ SAFEGUARDING RESPONSIBILITIES:
∎ Ensure the safety of team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation to achieve the programme's goals on safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
∎ Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
∎ Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, encourage others to do so.

Additional Requirements:
∎ Minimum 08 years of experience in the relevant field.
∎ Sound understanding on the institutional fundraising market.
∎ Experience in working with bilateral donors, foundations, multilaterals and/or regional organisations, and in ensuring income from these donor segments.
∎ Proven track record of successful fundraising, relationship building, stewardship for this donor segments.
∎ Ability to manage multiple projects and tight deadlines.
∎ Ability to maximise income through accurate matching of applications to project/propositions.
∎ Sound understanding on donor mapping, scoping, profiling and/or donor engagement activities.
∎ High proficiency with computers in particular MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook, MS Project, MS Visio, Cloud Computing (Google Drive and Dropbox), and the Internet.
∎ Proficiency in English is required; fluency in an additional language, particularly French, or Arabic would be an asset.
∎ Should have high organisational, planning, communication and decision making skills.
∎ Competencies on professionalism, integrity and commitment.
