Educational Requirements:
∎ Minimum Diploma in Textile Engineering or relevant subject.
∎ B.Sc. Textile Engineer will be highly preferable.
Experience Requirements:
∎ At least 10 year(s)
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Producing designs and samples to presentation for customer.
∎ Develop sample liaising with clients, technical, marketing and buying staffs.
∎ Analyze and assess fabric needs, based on Current Design's, Seasonal direction and Trends.
∎ Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of new design and production techniques and textile technology.
∎ Capable to maintain up to dated design studio (e.g. Mood Board, Fabric Library etc.)
∎ Developing new concepts ensuring that projects are completed on time.
∎ Attending trade shows as an exhibitor - this may involve representing the company with a display or stand, or appraising the work of competitors.
∎ Keeping up to date fashion trends in fabric design by reading forecasts in fashion magazines and using internet along with other resources.
Additional Requirements:
∎ At least 10-year(s) work experience in relevant industry.
∎ Technical knowledge of yarn, weaving, dyeing, printing, finishing, washing & testing.
∎ Working knowledge and deep understanding of cost-effective production as well as innovation.
∎ Strong presentation skills.
∎ Demonstrate proactive problem-solving skills, detail oriented with strong follow-up skill.
∎ Excellent writing, interpersonal & high-level communication skills (both English & Bengali) are required.
