Responsibilities & Context:
Key Responsibilities
Ensure a 12-line production system to fulfill requirements.
Identify and penetrate new markets and ensure 8% Net Profitability margin.
Develop and execute a long-term (3–5 year) merchandising strategy to expand market share and diversify the customer portfolio.
Lead the annual budgeting process for the department, ensuring resources are allocated to maximize ROI.
Manage "Top-to-Top" relationships with executive leadership & other footwear brands.
Ensure seamless integration between Merchandising, Production Planning (PPC), and Finance.
Set and evaluate Key Result Areas (KRAs) and performance metrics for the entire merchandising team.
Job Requirements:
Education: Minimum Bachelor's degree from a relevant background.
MBA or Master’s in Supply Chain Management, International Business, or Footwear Technology will be given preference.
Experience: 10-15+ years of experience in the footwear industry or a similar role, with at least 5 years in a senior role.
Established network within the footwear sourcing and retail community.
Technical Depth: In-depth knowledge of footwear engineering, specialized constructions, and international compliance (RSL, Social, Environmental).
Ability to travel internationally for buyer meetings, trade fairs, and vendor audits.
