∎ Should be at least Course Completed from a Chartered Accountant firm with M.Com or MBA in Accounting.

To strengthen the management team for ensuring its quality financial services, Bengal Islami Life Insurance Limited is inviting applications from Bangladeshi Nationals for the position of Head of - Internal Audit.
∎ Job Location: Head Office, Motijheel, Dhaka.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ An opportunity for an outstanding individual with a proven track record, exceptional communication and analytical skills to join the company as an Internal Auditor to:
∎ Be responsible for smooth functioning and leading of Internal Audit Department of the company.
∎ Determine internal audit scope and develop annual plans.
∎ Evaluating existing internal controls and procedures to ensure company has adequate controls and systems to safeguard its assets.
∎ Obtain, analyse and evaluate accounting documentation, data, flowcharts, etc.
∎ Identify gaps and recommend risk aversion measures and cost savings.
∎ Engage to continuous knowledge development regarding sector's rules, regulations, best practices, tools, techniques and performance standards.
∎ Conduct compliance audit to ensure all the departments are adhering to stipulated regulatory and reporting guidelines.
∎ Ensure day to day payments and financial & management activities of the company are as per rules and accurately supported by laws.
∎ Maintain proper communication with stakeholder and to ensure periodical audit reports in time
∎ Prepare and Audit Financial Statements as per requirements of regulators (BAS, IAS etc).
∎ Ensure that FS are prepared as per IFRS & BFRS.
∎ Ensure the related compliances including Taxes, VAT, IDRA requirements etc.
∎ Carry out other responsibilities assigned by the Board

Additional Requirements:
∎ Having at least 05 years of experience in Audit Department preferably in Life Insurance.
∎ Should have clear knowledge on Accounting & Auditing Standards.
∎ Should have knowledge on CG and Corporate Affairs.
∎ Should have knowledge in Insurance Act' 2010 and other related laws.
∎ Must have knowledge on Tax, VAT etc.
∎ Well conversant with modern communication systems
∎ Other Skills & Qualities:
∎ Leadership, interpersonal skill is needed
∎ Able to work independently with ability to handle multiple tasks.
∎ Should possess good communication and Interpersonal skills.
∎ Be an enthusiastic, honest and forward thinker
∎ 'Can do' - positive attitude and proactive
∎ Good computer literacy with good working knowledge.

Salary: Negotiable
