Experience:
Bachelor’s / Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.·
CA (Articled Student / Partially Qualified / Qualified), ACCA, or CMA qualification is highly preferred.
At least 8+ years in a team leadership or managerial role.
Industry experience in Hospitality, Real Estate, or Multi-wing operations (Resorts, Hotels, Villas) is a strong advantage.
Oversee and streamline all core accounting functions, including General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Fixed Assets, and Inventory Accounting across all operational wings (resorts, hotels, and central office).
Enforce and operationalize standard operating procedures (SOPs) for guest billing, vendor payments, and real-time revenue tracking as structured by management and advisory guidelines.
Verify and approve daily financial vouchers, operational payments, and timely payroll processing.
Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing processes.
Prepare and present accurate, timely financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow Statements) and management reports in accordance with Bangladesh Financial Reporting Standards (BFRS).
Track and report on seasonal operational expenditures, food and beverage (F&B) inventory, and maintenance budgets.
Manage daily cash flows, petty cash, bank reconciliations, and treasury operations to ensure operational liquidity without impacting long-term project funds.
Monitor working capital requirements, debtor/creditor aging reports, and cash collection flows.
Ensure total compliance with the Income Tax Act, VAT laws, Tax Deduction at Source (TDS), Advance Income Tax (AIT), and Companies Act of Bangladesh.
Supervise all statutory filings, monthly VAT returns, and corporate tax calculations.
Direct and coordinate internal/external financial audits, acting as the primary operational point of contact for audit teams and addressing audit observations promptly.
Maintain robust internal financial control mechanisms and policies to safeguard assets and prevent financial leakages.
Utilize modern accounting and ERP software to maintain data accuracy, audit trails, and financial reporting efficiency.
Supervise, mentor, and build the capability of the day-to-day Accounts team.
Implement and measure team Performance Indicators (KPIs) set by management to drive operational efficiency.
Coordinate directly with banks, suppliers, and regulatory entities for operational transactions.
