Job Responsibilities:
∎ Spearheading the programme strategy development process and put in practice a mechanism to assess progress against agreed upon strategic objectives taken up by programmes in-line with the vision and decision-making framework established with the ED
∎ Advise the ED on key organisational issues and manage staff in his office for smooth coordination of routine activities.
∎ Working closely with the Programme Resource Management team for donor relationship management.
∎ Building and managing a nascent Project Management Office to standardise project management across the organisation and lead cross-functional, special projects in close consultation with the Organisational Development Committee.
∎ Coordinating the activities of key organisational committees, including (but not limited to) the Programme Coordination Committee, Senior Management Committee, Organisational Development Committee and Executive Management Committee.
∎ Managing ED's internal and external communications presence in collaboration with BRAC's Communications Department through developing reports, presentations, media briefs and talking points as needed.
∎ Guide the systematic, internal learning practices of programmes and departments, guiding the Annual Operating Plan development process.
∎ Serving as liaison between staff, executives, senior leaders, and ED, regarding company climate, employee well-being, project updates, proposals, and planning
∎ Build leadership and management capacity in team members, support them to improve their communications skills and writing
∎ Represent BRAC in international and local events
∎ Safeguarding Responsibilities:
∎ Establish a safeguarding culture across all levels of the programme by implementing the safeguarding policy. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
∎ Responsible for ensuring team members are appropriately trained, supported and have access to resources regarding issues that are identified and actioned in accordance with the safeguarding policy and procedure.
∎ Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, encourage others to do so.
Additional Requirements:
∎ 12-15 years in development or related fields; ideally would have experience working in a number of different settings (i.e. non-profit, government, private sector, academia, etc.). Experience in managing external relationships, event management, communications along with International exposure would be beneficial.
