Job Context:
∎ This position aims to provide compliance support to a number of projects funded by bi-lateral, private non sponsorship and corporate donors that include but are not limited to KOICA, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Japan, Takeda Pharmaceuticals etc.
∎ Position needs extensive field travel (40%) to review progress and gather learning from the ongoing projects.
∎ This position will report to Senior Grants Compliance Manager.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Ensure quality review support to projects’ reports/documents before they reach to donors and World Vision support offices.
∎ Ensure timely support services and negotiate with cross functional team members to support project as agreed in the Project Implementation Agreement.
∎ Assure real time, effective inter-departmental collaboration with key business partners including, but not limited to: Finance; Program Development and Quality Assurance team (PDQA); People & Culture Team (HR); SCM, and World Vision Support Offices.
∎ Assure effective collaboration over the entire project life cycle, from start-up, implementation, close out and evaluation.
∎ Assure full and timely compliance with all donor requirements for grants/awards, that are managed by Operations Department.
∎ Assure monthly status update of compliance related issues for all grants managed by operations department.
∎ Play key role in in reviewing grants progress in collaboration with Senior Grants Compliance Manager and key National level Business Partners.
∎ Expeditiously resolve any and all compliance issues that are identified in collaboration with key business partners/stakeholders.
∎ Quality Compliance check, progress tracking and review report.
∎ Excellent coordination and liaison with Internal and external stakeholders.
∎ Capacity Building & Reflection for learning.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Strong knowledge and understanding of humanitarian industry (relief, development, and advocacy), including how INGOs operate in the global and local contexts.
∎ Broad understanding of government and bi/multilateral agency funding requirements and systems.
∎ In-depth knowledge of government and bi/multilateral agency funding requirements and systems.
∎ Good conceptual and practical skills to write reports that meet donor requirements.
∎ Skills in project design, budget preparation, evaluation and report writing.
∎ Skills in monitoring and development of log-frames.
∎ Good command in English, both written and verbal.
∎ Reading capacity of Grants Contract Obligations and Milestones.
∎ Competent in using MS Word, MS Excel and PowerPoint presentation.
∎ Ability to work under stressful conditions and adapt to local culture and situation.
∎ At least 2-3 years’ experiences of institutional donor funded project.
∎ Experience in working with a cross-cultural environment - preferably in Asian context
∎ Willing and able to travel nationally up to 12 weeks per annum.
∎ Willing to provide guidance, support, coaching and mentoring to Department /Unit Heads and ensure a culture of collaboration and communication is maintained.
