Job Context:

∎ REPORT TO : INNOVATION INVESTMENT FUND MANAGER

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Grants Assistant have to support into grants and contracts solicitation, selection, award, administration, and close-out.
∎ Work closely with IIF Manager and Activity staff to draft and issue requests for applications (RFAs) and other solicitations.
∎ With the IIF Manager, conduct risk assessments and periodic site visits to ensure that the grants program is following all Chemonics and USAID regulations.
∎ Ensure grant and contract files hard copy and soft copy are documented appropriately and are audit-ready and update the grants tracker.
∎ Assist IIF Manager to review grants applications, including concept notes and budgets.
∎ Ensure compliance to guidance and regulations provided by USAID and the Grants Manual and support the updating of templates.
∎ Review milestone deliverables and support timely payments to grantees and vendors.
∎ Support IIF Manager in administrative and financial oversight of Activity grants and subcontracts.
∎ Perform any other tasks assigned by the COP, Finance and Operations Director. or IIF Manager consistent with the overall nature of the Activity.

Additional Requirements:
∎ At least 2 years of experience on a development program, ideally supporting grants on a USAID-funded project.
∎ Good interpersonal skills, honesty, and commitment to excellence.
∎ Ability to establish and maintain effective, sustainable relationships with Activity staff, USAID Mission personnel, and the general development and business community.
∎ Strong organizational and work prioritization skills, attention to detail.
∎ Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
∎ Demonstrates leadership, versatility, and integrity.

∎ Negotiable based on experience, qualifications and salary history.
