Responsibilities & Context:
This position will be remotely based, as a Grant writing intern with a Fixed Term Contract of one year, renewable for longer term based on both performance and mutual agreement. The position is open to candidates from any countries.
Objective of this position
DADO seeks enthusiastic graduate who would like to develop career in disaster and development sectors. The candidate will have an in-depth understanding of establishing charitable sector and has ambitious to progress independently to the sector globally.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop research and development grants for funding organizations.
- Build collaborations with philanthropists, civil society, NGOs, INGOs, UN agencies, and public/private sectors.
- Conduct research on disasters and sustainable development.
- Take proactive measures to prevent avoidable disaster-related deaths.
- Lead capacity-building initiatives for students, youth, professionals, and communities.
- Launch awareness programs on early warning response for disaster-affected communities.
- Support green economy and clean technology initiatives.
- Develop a team of young scholars to engage with academic knowledge, policy, and participatory approaches.
