• Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology,Rajshahi University of Engineering and Technology,Khulna University of Engineering and Technology,Chittagong University of Engineering and Technology,Dhaka University of Engineering and Technology students will get preference

B.Sc Engineering from BUET will be given preference

• 12 to 20 years

• 12 –20 years of relevant experience in real estate/ developer/construction sector.

• Experience in project planning and engineering management·

• Proven track record in handling multiple development projects.

• Proven experience in managerial or supervisory capacity.

• Project completion within timeline and budget

• Compliance with engineering standards and regulations

• Quality and safety benchmarks achieved

• Effective coordination and stakeholder satisfaction

• Strong project planning, analytical skills Risk management skills, Combination skills.

• Fluency in software programs related to construction management, including project management software (AutoCAD Civil 2D/3D, MS Project, MS Word, MS Excel etc.).

• Good written and oral communication skills in both English & Bangla.

• Strong Technical knowledge of construction engineering

• Budgeting and cost-control capabilities

• Leadership and team coordination ability

• Communication and negotiation skills

As part of this expansion, we are inviting applications from dynamic and capable professionals for the position of GM - Engineering & Construction for one of its concerns, Bay Icon International Hotel & Resort Ltd.:

Job Resposibilities:

• Lead project feasibility studies including technical, financial, and site assessments

• Lead and oversee all civil engineering functions across multiple real estate development projects (residential, commercial, mixed-use).

• Prepare development plans, timelines, and resource allocation strategies

• Plan, design, and ensure execution of construction activities in compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and regulatory requirements.

• Supervise and coordinate with Project Managers, site engineers, architects, consultants, and contractors for smooth project execution.

• Coordinate with architects, consultants, and stakeholders to finalize project design

• Ensure alignment of project plans with business goals and regulatory requirements

• Monitor project milestones and adjust plans as required

• Follow up activities and lead a team of Engineers towards success.

• Review architectural, structural, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical drawings

• Ensure designs comply with applicable codes, standards, and safety requirements

• Provide technical guidance to site teams and resolve engineering issues

• Evaluate materials, construction methods, and technical specifications

• Conduct design validation and value engineering for cost optimization

• Oversee implementation of approved plans during construction phases

• Oversee construction site workers, and subcontractors.

• Track progress against schedules, budgets, and quality benchmarks

• Conduct site visits and technical inspections

• Coordinate with contractors, suppliers, and consultants

• Identify risks and implement mitigation strategies

• Ensure necessary approvals and permits from relevant authorities

• Ensure timely and cost-efficient completion of construction projects.

• Maintain compliance with building codes, environmental, and safety regulations

• Liaise with government bodies and regulatory agencies when required

• Assist in project budgeting and cost estimation

• Monitor engineering-related expenditures

• Support procurement evaluation and contract reviews

• Implement cost-saving initiatives without compromising quality

• Prepare progress reports for management review

• Maintain technical documentation and project records

• Present updates on planning, development status, and risks

• Any other Tasks assigned by the Management as & when required.
