Additional Requirements:
Bachelor/Master’s degree in Textile Chemistry or related field.
Minimum 15+ years of experience in Denim and Non-Denim laundry, with minimum 7-8 years in a leadership role.
Proven expertise in handling Woven denim and non-denim washing and production management.
Strong process orientation and ability to drive consistency in results.
Demonstrated leadership in managing teams for performance improvement.
Passion for innovation and staying ahead of industry trends.
Responsibilities & Context:
Develop new wash techniques, finishes, and effects for denim products in alignment with market trends and buyer expectations.
Collaborate and maintain effective communication with buyers, merchandising, fabric, and sample room teams to align on R&D outcomes.
Ensure all developed products meet required testing standards, and compliance requirements.
Work closely with the production team to ensure washing standards are achieved during first bulk production.
Prepare detailed wash costings in line with buyer expectations and company profitability goals.
Research and experiment with innovative wash technologies, chemicals, and sustainable processes to reduce water, energy, and chemical consumption.
Institutionalize best practices, continuous improvement (Kaizen), and sustainable solutions into washing operations.
Stay updated with global denim washing trends, eco-friendly wash innovations, and integrate them into product development.
Train and mentor teams on technical developments, ensuring knowledge transfer and capability building within the R&D function.
