• Bachelor/Master’s degree in Textile Chemistry or related field.   

• Minimum 15+ years of experience in Denim and Non-Denim laundry, with minimum 7-8 years in a leadership role.     

• Proven expertise in handling Woven denim and non-denim washing and production management.

• Strong process orientation and ability to drive consistency in results.

• Demonstrated leadership in managing teams for performance improvement.

• Passion for innovation and staying ahead of industry trends.

• Develop new wash techniques, finishes, and effects for denim products in alignment with market trends and buyer expectations.

• Collaborate and maintain effective communication with buyers, merchandising, fabric, and sample room teams to align on R&D outcomes.

• Ensure all developed products meet required testing standards, and compliance requirements.

• Work closely with the production team to ensure washing standards are achieved during first bulk production.

• Prepare detailed wash costings in line with buyer expectations and company profitability goals.

• Research and experiment with innovative wash technologies, chemicals, and sustainable processes to reduce water, energy, and chemical consumption.

• Institutionalize best practices, continuous improvement (Kaizen), and sustainable solutions into washing operations.

• Stay updated with global denim washing trends, eco-friendly wash innovations, and integrate them into product development.

• Train and mentor teams on technical developments, ensuring knowledge transfer and capability building within the R&D function.
