Job Description:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced General Manager - Supply Chain to lead our supply chain operations in the plastic packaging industry. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in resin sourcing, supply chain optimization, vendor management, and internal coordination to drive efficiency and ensure customer satisfaction. This role demands a proactive leader with exceptional strategic and operational skills to support our manufacturing of plastic bottles and caps for the Cosmetics, Pails and Pharmaceutical sectors.

Key Responsibilities:

Procurement & Vendor Management:

  • Develop and implement cost-effective procurement strategies to support business goals.

  • Source and maintain strong relationships with reliable suppliers and vendors, both locally and internationally.

  • Negotiate favorable terms with suppliers regarding pricing, quality, and quantity.

  • Conduct risk assessments to evaluate potential contracts and agreements.

  • Perform market surveys to identify new or alternative suppliers.

  • Manage L/C (Letter of Credit) processes and ensure smooth coordination for shipments.

  • Ensure the timely availability of raw materials to maintain uninterrupted production.

Supply Chain Optimization:

  • Ensure end-to-end supply chain management, from procurement to delivery.

  • Analyze costs across supply chain areas and implement cost-reduction strategies.

  • Maintain smooth supply chain management processes, including inventory control and on-time delivery.

  • Prepare sourcing plans and ensure timely delivery of materials.

  • Liaise with production, warehouse, accounts, and quality departments for seamless internal communication.

Contract & Order Management:

  • Review existing supplier contracts to ensure ongoing feasibility and alignment with company objectives.

  • Approve purchase orders and oversee the organization and confirmation of goods and services delivery.

  • Prepare and analyze comparative statements (CS) for procurement decision-making.

  • Coordinate and execute purchasing transactions efficiently.

Inventory & Logistics:

  • Oversee inventory management to ensure adequate stock levels and avoid disruptions in production.

  • Liaise with the store department to ensure goods are received with desired quality and quantity.

  • Conduct regular procurement and supply chain audits to ensure best practices are maintained.

Customer & Stakeholder Coordination:

  • Respond promptly to customer complaints to ensure their satisfaction.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with buyers, providing quick and efficient support as needed.

  • Work closely with the marketing team to ensure procurement aligns with sales plans.

  • Prepare and share clear and detailed procurement reports with management.

Leadership & Strategy:

  • Guide and support the supply chain team to perform at their best.

  • Keep up with market trends, new supplier options, and global sourcing strategies.

  • Work with senior leadership to ensure supply chain plans align with company goals.

  • Minimize communication gaps within and between departments to improve collaboration.

  • Take on additional tasks as needed by management.
