The General Manager (Sales & Marketing) is responsible for developing and executing the overall sales and marketing strategy of the company to achieve revenue growth, market expansion, brand development, and customer satisfaction. The role will lead nationwide sales operations, marketing initiatives, distribution network management, and business development activities to strengthen the company's position in the seed industry.
Strategic Planning & Business Growth
Develop and implement short-term and long-term sales and marketing strategies aligned with company objectives.
Identify new market opportunities, product segments, and business growth initiatives.
Formulate annual sales targets, budgets, and business plans.
Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer demands to support strategic decision-making.
Sales Management
Lead and manage the nationwide sales team to achieve sales targets and profitability goals.
Develop sales forecasting, territory management, and performance monitoring systems.
Ensure effective distribution and availability of products across all regions.
Establish and maintain strong relationships with dealers, distributors, retailers, and key customers.
Monitor sales performance and implement corrective actions when necessary.
Marketing & Brand Management
Develop and execute integrated marketing campaigns to promote the company's seed products.
Strengthen brand positioning and enhance market visibility.
Plan and oversee promotional activities, farmer meetings, field demonstrations, agricultural fairs, and trade events.
Coordinate product launches and marketing communication activities.
Manage advertising, digital marketing, public relations, and corporate branding initiatives.
Distribution & Channel Development
Expand and optimize dealer and distributor networks nationwide.
Ensure efficient supply chain coordination to support sales objectives.
Monitor inventory movement and market demand to prevent stock shortages or overstock situations.
Develop channel partner engagement and loyalty programs.
Customer Relationship Management
Build strong relationships with farmers, agricultural organizations, government agencies, NGOs, and other stakeholders & Foster a high-performance and results-oriented culture.
Financial & Operational Management
Prepare and manage sales and marketing budgets.
Monitor expenses and ensure cost-effective utilization of resources.
Compliance & Governance
Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and ethical business practices.
Maintain accurate records, reports, and documentation related to sales and marketing activities.
