Job Context:
∎ We are a leading garments & textiles manufacturing group of companies based in Bangladesh with a global presence.
∎ We are currently seeking an experienced and highly motivated General Manager for our Finance & Accounts Department. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the financial management of our organization and ensuring that all financial reporting and accounting activities are carried out efficiently and accurately.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Develop and implement financial strategies, policies, and procedures that align with the company's overall business objectives.
∎ Manage the company's accounting and financial reporting systems to ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and industry standards.
∎ Oversee the preparation of financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
∎ Provide accurate and timely financial information to the company's leadership team and other stakeholders.
∎ Develop and maintain strong relationships with external auditors, banks, and other financial institutions.
∎ Lead the budgeting and forecasting processes, ensuring that financial goals are established and met.
∎ Oversee the company's tax planning and compliance activities.
∎ Manage and mentor a team of finance and accounting professionals.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at least 40 years
∎ Minimum of 15 years of experience in financial management, preferably in the garments manufacturing industry.
∎ Proven track record of success in managing complex financial operations and providing strategic financial leadership.
∎ Strong knowledge of financial reporting standards, tax laws, and regulatory requirements.
∎ Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization.
∎ Experience managing a team of finance and accounting professionals.
∎ Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial software applications.
