Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Chartered Accountancy or related field.
CA – at least knowledge level completed
Minimum 10 years of total experience, including at least 5 years in Finance and Accounts Manager positions within INGOs or large local NGOs.
Strong expertise in financial statement preparation, ledger management, and bank reconciliation.
Proven experience in audit management and ensuring unqualified audit reports.
In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience with NGOAB compliance processes (FD-2, FD-3, FD-4, FD-6 preparation, submission, and approval).
Solid understanding of IAS, IFRS, Bangladeshi tax laws, and NGO regulations.
Proficiency in Tally software, MS Office, and financial reporting tools.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
Max Foundation Bangladesh is seeking a skilled and experienced Finance Manager to strengthen its finance and accounts team. This role is critical in ensuring financial integrity, compliance, and operational excellence across ongoing projects and future funding opportunities.
Location: Dhaka, with occasional field visits
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage all aspects of finance and accounts, in alignment with international standards and regulatory requirements.
Oversee budgeting, financial reporting, audits, and donor compliance.
Ensure risk management, internal controls, and legal compliance.
Support programme managers for budget control and financial reporting to donors.
Manage financial operations for the current two projects and provide support for future funding initiatives.
Prepare financial statements manually using Tally software, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
Update ledgers, perform bank reconciliations, and maintain proper documentation of all financial transactions.
Oversee audits, liaise with auditors, and ensure unqualified audit reports for all projects.
Prepare and submit financial reports to the NGO Affairs Bureau (NGOAB), including FD-2, FD-3, FD-4, and FD-6 forms, and obtain necessary approvals.
Ensure compliance with donor requirements, Bangladeshi tax laws, and NGOAB regulations.
Support risk management, internal controls, and financial compliance.
