∎ Uttaran in Partnership with Helvetas Swiss Intercooperation is going to implement “Supporting Harmony Improving Nutrition and Environment (SHINE)’’ and this is 03 years project. Uttaran is implementing this project in Teknaf Upazila of Cox’s Bazar district. The objective of the project is to increase the resilience of the host communities and Rohingya refugeesin Cox’s Bazar districtby improving food security, reducing disaster vulnerability, and increasing social cohesion.

∎ Duration of the Appointment 3 years

∎ Employment Status: Contractual & Initial 1 ( one) year contract with the possibility of extension depends on performance.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Finance & Logistic Officer will be responsible for the following tasks:
∎ Analyse and ensure charging following all budget information and chart of accounts.
∎ Prepare, maintain & update books of accounts (Voucher, Cash book, bank book, ledger etc.)
∎ Preparation of monthly, quarterly, semi-annually and yearly cash financial reports (Income expenditure reports, balance sheet, bank reconciliation, cash flow etc.).
∎ Preparation other on-demand reports as requested by Helvetas
∎ Maintain the records and documents for Audit facilitation
∎ Assume responsibility in general for the proper management of cash transfers and in particular ensuring disbursements, receipts and custody of cash under the planned activities are in line with established guidelines; ensures appropriate internal control are in place.
∎ Help prepare Monthly and yearly fund request preparation
∎ Maintain appropriate records, reports and necessary documents relating to the cash transfer activities in the area. Provide a variety of statistical information as appropriate.
∎ Help prepare contracts for SHINE project activities
∎ Ensure payments to vendors for SHINE project activities
∎ Track SHINE project expenses for central reporting
∎ Prepare expense analysis and review with program management team and provide feedback/recommendation on deviation.
∎ Track advances and accrual for timely adjustment.
∎ Maintains Administrative control records such as commitments and expenditures; initiate and process administrative action relating to travel arrangements, payments, procurements and delivery of equipment, supplies of inventories.
∎ Set up, classify and maintain appropriate files in the office. Ensure proper supplies of materials; manage office premises, vehicles and inventories.
∎ Vendor enlistment and relevant contract preparation
∎ Provide assistance to all staff in district; manage entitlements and benefits, including travel claims, leave, etc in line with approved budget and Uttaran’s Personal Policy
∎ Keep all relevant documentation and updated records of all transactions accordingly
∎ Perform other related duties, as required
∎ Maintain and Keep track of all assets purchased under the project
∎ Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action
Additional Requirements:
∎ At least 4 Years of Experience of working in similar position with a National/International organization
∎ Skill on computer literacy
∎ Familiar with software based accounting system
∎ Effective communication skills
∎ In-depth knowledge on financial management and accounting issues
∎ Experience in designing financial formats and production of reports
∎ Fluency in Bengali and Intermediary skills in English
