Educational Requirements:
∎ Minimum of ten (10) of experience and progressive responsibility in finance and accounting, project operations, and office administration.
∎ Minimum five (05) years’ experience of working in USAID funded projects in finance and administration, with demonstrated understanding of applicable USG regulations for cooperative agreements and/or contracts. Experience of working in similar positions in USAID projects preferred.
∎ Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or equivalent. Advanced degree (MBA, CPA, or equivalent) will be preferred.
∎ Previous experience in Bangladesh or another South Asian country strongly preferred.
∎ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
∎ Fluency in English required.

∎ Friends In Village Development Bangladesh (FIVDB) is recruiting for a Finance Director for the anticipated USAID Bangladesh Localization Activity (Ban-Am). The purpose of the Localization Activity is to support a diverse group of local actors to define priorities, design projects, drive implementation, measure and evaluate results, and more fully own and sustain efforts in the areas of governance, civil society, economic growth, agriculture, health, education, youth, environment, climate change, biodiversity, and disaster risk reduction (DRR). The objectives of the Localization Activity are to (1) Establish a grant-making facility to provide funding to qualifying recipients through a local, competitive process; (2) Increase the organizational capacity of the recipient organizations/sub-grantees; and (3) Integrate the overall strategy, allocations, and management of USAID grant-making activities in identified programmatic areas.
∎ Friends in Village Development Bangladesh (FIVDB), is a Bangladeshi non-governmental organization founded in 1979 under the Societies’ Registration Act, 1860.
∎ FIVDB’s societal vision is that of ‘a vibrant society based on justice, equity, democracy and environmentally sound principles’. It works with the mission to give the disadvantaged women, men and children greater voice, reduce their vulnerability, increase their use of citizenship rights and help them enhance their quality of life. To that end FIVDB pursues educational, social and economic capacity building and social organization processes. It works to strengthen social protection and safety networks and participates in national and international outreach and advocacy. The organization combines grassroots service delivery, social mobilization and advocacy in its work and works in collaboration with communities, civil society, the Government and private sectors.
