Job Context:
∎ PURPOSE OF POST:
∎ Under the supervision of Finance Manager, the Finance Assistant ensures that the cash box safeguard, cash transaction, cash and bank books are properly maintained and support in the monitoring, reviewing and archiving accounting documents.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ CASH MANAGEMENT-
∎ Establish a daily/weekly Cash Flow statement as per needs of the Base Office
∎ Withdraw the required Cash from respective Bank maintaining safety & Security.
∎ Payment of the advances in accordance with established Financial procedures and approved work plan
∎ Keep the advance books and cash journal updated
∎ Perform cash payments in the field and in the Office as per requirement
∎ Reconcile cash box on daily basis and report any discrepancies to her/his supervisor
∎ Replenish Cash as per cash box policy
∎ Ensure cash box security and confidentiality of information.
∎ ACCOUNTANCY-
∎ Ensure that supporting documents are in compliance with internal and donors procedures
∎ Ensure that accounting documens are translated if necessary
∎ Record all entries according to the internal procedures
∎ Arrange the Bank Statement from Bank and Keep Record
∎ Prepare the monthly bank reconciliation statement
∎ Support salary payment according to payroll validated by the HR and Finance Department
∎ Provide support for the monthly accounting closing
∎ Ensure the Voucher perpration and proper documentation
∎ Archiving of accounting documents according internal procedures and donor requirements
∎ VAT & TAX PAYMENTS-
∎ Process to deposit of VAT and Taxes through Treasury Chalan
∎ Support to prepare monthly VAT & Tax return
∎ Ensure compliance of VAT and Tax policy before booking
∎ Control the effectiveness of VAT and Tax payments and deposit into bank
∎ Keep separate files for VAT & Tax payment records
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at least 23 years
