Responsibilities & Context:

Job Context: Academy of Information Technology (AIT) is a non Govt. well reputed & Pioneer training providing Institution in Cox’s Bazar has been working relentlessly from 2012.

AIT aims to build skilled human resource through providing skill based training on different trades & Vocations. Meanwhile AIT Provided thousands training on different courses and most of people who received training are in good condition now through engaging in different jobs & own business.

In line with this AIT is implementing a project Title “Supporting skills development for the Hospitality & Tourism Sector in Cox’s Bazar’ by the support of Swisscontract. For this Project AIT is going recruit an Accounts officer as per following requirements

Role of this Position: To ensure good governance of financial and material resources through proper documentation of all transitions by proper reporting following the Financial and Procurement Policy and Procedure.

Job Summary: Preparing budgets, supervising Financial and project asset management. Prepare financial reports for organization and donor for fulfillment of internal, external & donor’s requirements. Assist to Project Coordinator for planning, monitoring and program implementation with the help of Accountant. Assist the Internal and External Auditors.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Prepare monthly budget-plan as well as yearly.

  • Prepare monthly financial plan.

  • Budget monitoring & controlling.

  • Prepare fund request for Donor.

  • Disburse funds based on the approved project budget as per implementation guideline.

  • Monitor payments of fund as provided within approved budget

  • Review all expenditure, requisition and check disbursed by Cheque.

  • Monitoring overall Accounts Books including all vouchers and registers.

  • Reviewing Project accounting activities for accuracy and appropriate classification of transactions.

  • Supervising a systematic, efficient and transparent filling system.

  • Preparing monthly, quarterly, half yearly and yearly financial report for management decision.

  • Preparing financial statement for requirement of Donor.

  • Preparing financial statements for Internal and External Audits.

  • Assisting the Internal and External audit.

  • Giving consultation to the skilled & unskilled staff members for better performance of the planned activities.

  • Monitoring the payments of funds as provided within approved budgets.

  • Assisting Project Coordinator in monitoring the financial progress in relation to planned activities and budget.
