Job Context:
∎ Uttaran in partnership with Solidaridad Network Asia (SNA) started implementing Sustainable Agriculture, Food Security and Linkages (SaFaL) programme in Southwest Bangladesh. The summary of SaFaL and more on Solidaridad works are accessible at www.solidaridadnetwork.org Uttaran is seeking the following positions to implement SaFaL programme for its project interventions area in Khulna, Bagerhat and Shatkhira district.
∎ REPORT TO:
∎ Field Organizer will be reportable and accountable to the Supply Chain Officer and or to the assigned person by Uttaran. S/he will respect the agreement/contract established between Uttaran and Solidaridad-SaFaL.
∎ KEY CONTACT AND RELATIONSHIP:
∎ Field Organizer should keep good relation with the Uttaran management and UttaranSaFaL project office based staff. S/he will maintain good level of working relationship with the donors; others project team members, local government organizations, private sectors and different line agencies.
∎ WORKING CONDITION:
∎ Field Organizer will be the employee of Uttaran and will be based at UttaranUpazila based office. S/he will spend approximately 75% time in the field 25% time for deskwork and representation and networking.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Adopt an approach for better integration of existing social dynamics in the community
∎ Provide support to strengthen social capital in the community
∎ Organize and coordinate different event in the community like meeting, training, day observation, learning visit etc.
∎ Ensure producers are properly participated and trained and prepared for all relevant aspects of program monitoring
∎ Assist to producers for reaching critical mass at the community development
∎ Develop HID capacities of producers and their networks in facilitating self-propelling approach
∎ Contribute in implementing gender mainstreaming in the rural level
∎ Contribute to establish a good governance system at producers 'level to ensuretransparency and accountability.
∎ Support to producers for develop Annual plan of operation and implementation
∎ Establish linkage with Union Parishad and different service provider to get service forimplement the activities
∎ Support to develop capacity of producers and their networks to manage disaster risks and improve shock absorbing capacities.
∎ Contribute to the project in various tools and guidelines implementation.
∎ Contribute to review, adjust the planning methodologies.
∎ Accompany and contribute in other thematic domains like Aquaculture, Dairy and
∎ Horticulture
∎ Internalizing different monitoring tools, and provides accompaniment support to community
∎ Develop and maintain program monitoring and reporting system
∎ Take note of evolving changes in seasonal, socio-economic, and agricultural conditions in the program area;
∎ Pay regular field visit to community to observe progress with a focus on ensuring 'quality
∎ Contribute in the preparation of the quarterly, semi-annual and yearly reports
∎ Ensure quality monitoring data collection from the field
∎ Process documentation, collection and compilation of required information from the entrepreneurs and stakeholders and deliver to the responsible sub-sector officer
Additional Requirements:
∎ A minimum of two (2) years' experience to work with community based organization in rural area.
∎ Good computer skill (e.g. MS Word. Excel); and
∎ Must have a valid driving license and willing to drive motorcycle
∎ Age limit 25 to 40 years
∎ Strong decisions making ability and motivational skill especially with rural communities
∎ Reporting and documentation skills
∎ Effective communication skills
∎ Strong leadership, analytical and interpersonal communication skills
∎ Ability to work effectively with remote area.
∎ Proven ability to work in a intercultural environment
∎ Willing to drive motorcycle with valid driving license
Salary:
∎ Monthly salary package is BDT 16,864. It is full time position.
